The Recording Academy and Grammy Museum held the second-ever Grammy Hall of Fame Gala at the Beverly Hilton Friday night, where iconic recordings including Cat Stevens’ Tea for the Tillerman, Santana’s Supernatural and Jay-Z’s Reasonable Doubt and Gloria Estefan and Miami Sound Machine’s “Conga” were all officially inducted, while John Mellencamp, John Batiste, Conan Gray and Emmylou Harris were among the night’s performers.

Mellencamp and Gray performed as a tribute to Republic Records, which was selected as this year‘s label honoree for the event.

When it comes to showrunners, Eric Kripke is one of the most consistent. You know what to expect, and if you don’t, then you haven’t seen enough of his content. He’s a lover of urban myths, history, and downright absurdity, and he’s also a man who likes to create something timely and timeless all at the same time.

The majority of people will know Kripke for his CW series Supernatural, but he has worked on many other shows and movies before that. Since his Supernatural days, he’s become a creator to watch out for, but that doesn’t mean everything he’s made is something you need to watch right now. As previously announced, the show will follow Elle Woods during her high school years. Lexi Minetree stars as Elle. Wepper has been cast as Elle’s chemistry teacher and high school cheer team choreographer Ms. Burke. Maisonet and Yamada will play Tiffany and Amber respectively, friends in Elle’s Bel Aire high school circle.

After performing spirited pieces from the Prime Video superhero drama at Deadline’s Sound & Screen: Television event, composers Christopher Lennertz and Matt Bowen were asked if they’ve ever been scolded for going too far with their music.

“I’ve never gotten a note saying I’ve gone too far. If anything, it’s I can go farther,” Lennertz said. “Eric usually says make me give you a note, and I never seem to get that if I tried.”

The fifth and final season of The Boys is on the way. The countdown to Jensen Ackles’s new crime series, Countdown, is on. Expect the show to stream its way to viewers this summer. Prime Video announced when the action-packed series will drop and released some first-look images. Guaty is famous for her role as Maricruz in Prison Break, and Elisabeth previously appeared on The Last O.G. The series was written and created for television by J.J. Abrams and Latoya Morgan. Abrams is also the creator of Lost, meaning there will be something of a reunion between him and leading star Josh Holloway. He’s also famous for his work writing and directing Star Wars: Episode 7 and 9, The Force Awakens and The Rise of Skywalker. He passed off duties for The Last Jedi to Rian Johnson.

Duster is set in the dusty 1970s Southwest, and it follows a gutsy getaway driver for a budding crime family on dangerous driving jobs.

The Boys and Supernatural star Jensen Ackles is all set to lead a new action thriller series for Prime Video, and we now have our first look and details. Ackles will be joined in the series, which is titled Countdown, by Grey’s Anatomy and Bad Boys: Ride or Die star Eric Dane, and action fans don’t have to wait long to stream this latest action offering from the popular streamer.

Amazon has now revealed that Countdown will land on the streaming platform on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, exclusively on Prime Video. According to Deadline, the action series will debut in “more than 240 countries and territories worldwide,” with new episodes following weekly and the season finale dropping on Wednesday, September 3.

Per Men's Health, Countdown will premiere worldwide on Prime Video with its first three episodes on Wednesday, June 25.Ackles stars in the 13-episode crime thriller as LAPD detective Mark Meachum, who is "recruited into a secret task force consisting of undercover agents from across various branches of United States law enforcement. Prime Video has confirmed Ackles’ newest original series, Countdown, will be arriving on Wednesday, June 25, making it one of the biggest new series of the summer season. Following the standard Prime Video release model, the new series will kick off with a special three-episode premiere event before episodes move into a weekly release schedule for the remainder of the season. This release strategy will see new episodes dropping weekly throughout the summer, leading up to the season finale on Sept. 3 just as summer draws to a close and we look ahead to fall TV.

Eric Kripke adapted a version of Tarzan that was more flash in the pan than anything else.

It was announced earlier this year that The Boys Season 5 would feature a Supernatural reunion, with Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins joining Jensen Ackles in the cast of the final season. Eric Kripke has already cast Jensen Ackles in one indie superhero comic adaptation. What’s another, that too penned by Kripke himself? Jacked is a comic book from the Supernatural creator that, at its core, looks at a superhero having a midlife crisis. Ackles has already managed to wow fans and audiences as Soldier Boy in The Boys, but Jacked also seems something that is right up his alley.

Indie superhero comics have become a cornerstone in mainstream film and television, thanks to IPs like The Boys, Invincible, and The Umbrella Academy. With renewed interest in capitalizing on these non-Marvel and DC projects, some interesting projects might get the time to shine in the mainstream.

Eric Kripke wanted to tell a story with Jacked that could very easily be echoed in The Boys.

Supernatural‘s two protagonists, Dean and Sam Winchester, are widely remembered by fans for some key personality traits that were associated with them.
