Storyline

Jean Claude plays an official who's just been appointed as Second In Command to the U.S.Ambassador at an American Embassy in a small, turbulent Eastern European nation. When local insurgents attempt a coup d'etat, the nation's President takes refuge inside the embassy. The embassy is then besieged by the well-armed insurgents. The U.S. Ambassador is killed in the ensuing action, and it's now up to Jean-Claude and the embassy's small detachment of U.S. Marines to fend off the attackers. Written by Anonymous

Trivia

By an odd coincidence, the scenes in which PFCs Zanger and Pazzini plant and detonate a number of package bombs around the neighborhood to distract the insurgents from the US Embassy was filmed on 07 July 2005, the date of the terrorist bombings in London, with the SFX explosions taking place almost to the exact hour of those in the UK. The largely British crew of the film learned of the attacks shortly after during their lunch break, and filming was suspended for the remainder of the day. See more »

Goofs

When the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit is called in to rescue the embassy inhabitants AH-1 Cobras and IAR 330s (Romanian variant of SA 330 Puma; not in US service) take off from an air base, later on only the AH-1 Cobras are shown in mid-air flight over desert environment (no deserts in the Balkans). Next time the helicopters are shown they depict UH-60 Black Hawks without stub wings and UH-1 Iroquois. During the final showdown computer-generated MH-60L DAP or UH-60 with stub wings and rocket pods are shown. The IAR 330s do return as they deploy US Marines on the roof of the embassy. See more »

One of the best j.c.v.d movie in 8 years
19 March 2006 | by G_dawg_93_pacSee all my reviews

This movie is great jean Claude van damme fights like it was 1988 back when he was filming bloodsport thats how he was fighting and he was using the guns like it was 1993 with hard target thats how good this movie is, it will keep you on the edge of your seat and it will excite you. The best part is when jean Claude van damme is getting teamed up on and he just kicks one of them in the head then grabs the knife and stabs the other guy in the stomach then does his famous helicopter kicks, Man when i saw this movie i was gonna cry because i haven't seen a good van damme movie in years, well I'm not gonna tell you anymore use have to wait and watch it cheers. 10/10
