Rowena Price is a muckraking reporter for a New York paper. When her story about a closeted gay Senator who preaches family values is spiked, she quits and soon finds herself investigating the grisly murder of a childhood friend. Her friend had been dumped by ad exec Harrison Hill, so he's Rowena's prime suspect. Rowena gets a job at the ad agency as a temp, and she's soon the object of Hill's attentions. She's helped in her subterfuge by Miles Haley, a friend at the paper who has a secret thing for her. Everyone, it seems, has secrets, including Hill, who must keep his affairs from his wife - her money fuels his lifestyle. Murder will out? Written by <jhailey@hotmail.com>

Halle Is Brilliant!!!
4 April 2010 | by See all my reviews

...By far...this is my favorite "who dunnit"!! I love the suspense that went into the production of this movie! The first time that I watched it I had missed so many of the smaller details. The writers were brilliant, with the twists and the turns....at first, I thought it was Harrison Hill that was the guilty party. But then, when Ro went to Miles apartment and was surprised by "Miles is sexy" coming from the computer...the pictures of herself on the dummy....the photos of Grace, all chained up..and strapped up made me think it was he. NEVER did I once even think it was Ro! The second time I watched the movie, her flashbacks to how her father abused her with "bath time" caught my attention and raised suspicion that I hadn't really noticed. But it was the finale that got me the first time that I watched it! When Ro was dumping the beladonna down the drain....and Miles started narrating the act of violence leading up to Grace's murder...who would ever have thought the killer was Rowena Price! I think Halle Berry brought the characters Caroline Eldridge, Katherine Pogue, and Rowena Price into real life. The girl is brilliant, not to mention gorgeous! This was such a stunning portrayal by Ms. Berry that I was watched it so many times that I have lost count! Each time I viewed it I saw something else that I had missed. This movie was an excellent showcase for Halle Berry's talent! I love you madly Halle!
