Storyline

Donna, is on a journey toward redemption from her past. From her family's past. She's sent on a road trip from Texas to Arizona to make peace, uncover secrets, and find some understanding in the life she's been dealt. It's rich with texture and visually quite vivid - and it's not afraid to get tangled in the dark corners of this family's life. Written by Jen Prince

Trivia

To weather the teddy bear in the Ruth scene, Cody and Alyson kicked it back and forth in a Los Angeles city street the night before departing on the road trip to Texas. They also dunked it in the gutter and jumped on it. Jen and Gordon's dog Zach chewed on its green ribbon. The teddy bear was still wet when they left. See more »

A real breath of fresh air & a story filled with understanding, healing & catharsis!
1 October 2006 | by clytielaneSee all my reviews

The more I see this film the more I appreciate its depth. The story is told simply, clearly and moves at this slightly slower pace which actually allows one to FEEL the effects and impact of everywoman's (everyman's) healing journey to find themselves. Perhaps the appearances differ but the heroine's inner journey and growing awareness is so beautifully and comically portrayed that our own heart is touched and reminded of the inherent healing power within LIFE! Alyson's film serves us all by guiding us to pursue the truth no matter what....for 'the truth shall set you free!' Thankyou for a truly powerful film set against a stunning backdrop of landscapes.
