best film ever
11 April 2006 | by emurphy7See all my reviews

i really think this is some of the best directing, and assistant directing, i have ever seen in a short film. the cinematography is truly awe-inspiring. valentina and stella are some of the best up and coming actresses on the scene these days. manafort showcases the talents of the girls individually while portraying their bond of friendship realistically and with heartfelt emotion. the raw talent in the cast, especially stephen baldwin, is spectacular, and the skill of the director brought that talent to life in an unbelievable way. the scene with the band "over it" is one of the most cinematically intricate scenes that has ever been done. the camera work on that is truly commendable, although the post-pot smoking scene contains the most amazing editing present in the whole movie. the stage dive scene is the icing on the cake. in addition to meticulous editing all the way through the film, this scene has impeccable impact due especially in part to the sound editing. one part of the movie that may be overlooked by most viewers but is essential to the story is when jenni sees a womans breasts at yoga class and then looks down to compare her own to this hot woman. additionally, the music chosen by the filmmakers was powerful and compelling and added much to this movie, eliciting deep emotional responses from the viewer at crucial parts throughout the film.
