Suzuki's world is shattered when his teenage daughter is brutally attacked. The assailant, Ishihara, son of a politician, brazenly mocks Suzuki as he throws him cover-up money. Angry, Suzuki finds he has no answer to Ishihara and in venting his anger, loses his daughter's trust too. A sleep-deprived, crazed Suzuki goes to Ishihara's school wielding a knife. He does not find Ishihara, but instead forms an alliance with an odd group of school misfits called the Zombies. The group's elusive leader, Pak Sun Shin, decides to train Suzuki, who quits his job and embarks on a punishing programme to win back freedom for his daughter. —Anonymous

I for one am eagerly awaiting a North American release!
Hajime Suzuki (Shinichi Tsutsumi) spends little time with the family that he struggles to provide with a comfortable lifestyle; especially his teenage daughter Haruka (Nanase Hoshii), who is his pride and joy. When Haruka is brutalized and besmirched by her classmate Yusuke Ishihara (Genki Sudo) and hospitalized, Hajime defends her honor by confronting Yusuke and taking him up on the challenge of a fight. Word of the challenge gets around and Hajime eventually finds himself in the company of a colorful assortment of ochikobore (outcasts) endeared to his cause. Among them is Korean-Japanese Soon-Shin Park (Junichi Okada), who trains Hajime for the eventual confrontation.

Fly, Daddy, Fly plays out like your usual Japanese High School drama, but with a middle-aged salary man comprising the uncharacteristic role of protagonist. The movie touches upon many social issues faced by contemporary nuclear families in Japan today, such as the growing bridge between parents and children in a high-stress society of white collar work and pressurized exit exams. Hajime finds that his experiences have not only made him a stronger man (mentally and physically) by the end of the film, but also a better father.

      Among the cast...

Award-winning Shinichi Tsutsumi of such fame as "Good Luck!!" Mixed Martial Artist Genki Sudo of K-1 Hero's Johnny's star Junichi Okada of J-Pop band V6 Main theme by the popular J-Rock band Mr. Children
