Storyline

Two travelers, whose car has ended up in a ditch on a stormy night, end up at The Gas Cafe. Located somewhere between Heavan and Hell three people await the travelers. No one is telling the truth in this dark drama that asks the question, is there a heaven, or a hell, or have we just fallen in to mass confusion. The truth, usually unpleasant, comes tumbling out of each character before they can continue on their own personal journies. Written by Kelley Baker & Bruce Lacey

yeah....it was bad

So my boyfriend bought a copy of the movie after he went to a presentation at his university by the director. He had really enjoyed the short films shown at the presentation so he decided to buy all three movies. I made the mistake of selecting The Gas Cafe to watch first. I wanted to like it, I tried to like it, but the pace and the acting made it nearly impossible. I will say that it's obvious that the director is well known for his sound editing and design, because that's the only good thing about this movie. The weird thing about the movie was that it seemed to be really slow, however the progression of the actor's relationships was way too fast. It was hard to relate to the characters because of this. I say forget The Gas Cafe and just watch Birddog.
