When Henry DeTamble meets Clare Abshire in a Chicago library they both understand that he is a time traveler, but she knows much more about him as he has not yet been to the times and places where they have already met. Really really bad!
15 February 2011 | by tomhewitt666See all my reviews

Having recently read the excellent book just prior to watching this film, I was obviously disappointed at how little the book and the film match up. Only the major points of their lives are compared, and nothing of their feelings or the romance involved comes across at any point. The acting is wooden which is unfortunate as all involved are so good in other things. Overall this is a terrible movie with no through line, no sense of growing love between the two, no interest in their story. I'm trying to find a good point about this car-crash but, nope, there isn't one. In all, a waste of my time and an awful waste of such good subject matter.
