Class of 88: “Prepare Yourself” for Graham Baker’s Alien Nation

It's no surprise that the decade that gave us Gordon Gekko and his infamous quote, "Greed is good," would be rife with films unpacking heavy social topics like police brutality, social inequality, ultra-violence, and in the case of Graham Baker's Alien Nation, racial tension, tolerance, and acceptance. Somehow I missed this film, despite it being the topic of conversation in many sci-fi and horror circles, not to mention that it influenced many other movies in the genre, from Neill Blomkamp's District 9 to last year's Bright, directed by David Ayer. It also spawned a number of Alien Nation-related products, including a series of comics and novels, a TV series on Fox by the same name that ran for one season in 1989, and five TV movies. So, without further ado, as the movie poster suggests, prepare yourselves for a dive into a buddy cop sci-fi action movie with a solid cast of characters,

Diona Reasonover has some big shoes — or combat boots — to fill.

The actress has been promoted to series regular for “NCIS” Season 16 after having previously guest starred in three episodes of the drama, a representative from CBS told TheWrap.

Her character, Kasie Hines, replaces forensic scientist Abby Sciuto, the fan favorite played by actress Pauley Perrette for 15 seasons. Kasie was originally hired as a graduate assistant before receiving Abby’s blessing to join the team and the lab.

Perrette’s brilliant pigtailed, goth-chic character said her final goodbyes to the NCIS team in May after a close brush with death and the actual death of her colleague in last season’s episode, “Two Steps Back.”

At the time, Perrette was the most-liked female primetime star on TV, according to the Q Scores Company. Other crime show actresses,

CBS TV Shows: 2017-18 Viewer Votes

Every year, the CBS television network introduces new TV series, which are either cancelled or renewed by the season's end. Likewise, among existing shows, there are strong performers while others end up as the television vulture's TV dinner du jour. Although everyone understands the Nielsen ratings usually play a big role in TV cancellations and renewals, most fans do not get to participate in that system. Since so many viewers' opinions do not factor into the Tiffany Network's programming decisions, we are offering you the chance to submit your own CBS TV show ratings to us, instead. You can vote on the following CBS TV series that have premiered (so far) during the 2017-17 television season: 9Jkl, The Amazing Race, The Big Bang Theory, Big Brother: Celebrity Edition, Blue Bloods, Bull, Code Black, Criminal Minds, Elementary, Hawaii Five-0, Instinct, Kevin Can Wait, Life In Pieces, Living Biblically, MacGyver,

Criminal Minds Gets Season 14 Premiere Date, Truncated Episode Order

CBS has yet to confirm when its shows will return after their summer hiatus, but we now know when one of the network's veteran shows will be back.

Criminal Minds' Executive Producer Harry Bring took to Twitter earlier this week to offer up some details about the upcoming season, and in turn, he revealed when the show would return to the schedule.

"Criminal Minds S14 premiere date confirmed. Wednesday September 26, 2018. 10pm CBS," reads the initial tweet he shared earlier this week.

While it's not confirmed by the network, it would make sense that an Executive Producer would know when the show is returning before it's announced officially.

Also, that date would put it right in line with most of the previous season premieres for the series, so we're inclined to believe this news will become a reality when the network releases premiere dates.

Reboot of Profit Antihero Drama Is in the Works, Says Adrian Pasdar

Reboot of Profit Antihero Drama Is in the Works, Says Adrian Pasdar
One of TV’s seminal gone-too-soon dramas could be back-after-a-long-while.

Adrian Pasdar told TVLine that a “reboot” of Profit — which was famously pulled from Fox’s schedule after just four airings in April 1996 — is being developed by director/producer Tawnia McKiernan, daughter of Stephen J. Cannell (an Ep on the original series).

A rep for McKiernan did not respond to TVLine’s requests for comment on the status of the project.

“The time is right,” Pasdar said during a recent interview, reflecting on his title role as a ruthless businessman who preceded such TV antiheroes as Tony Soprano, Dexter Morgan and Walter White.

34 Sexy Photos of Shemar Moore and His Cheese-Grater Abs For Your Viewing Pleasure
Let's just cut to the chase here, people: Shemar Moore is a damn treat that I'd happily snack on all day long. The 48-year-old heartthrob has a habit of looking dangerously sexy 24/7, whether he's in character as Derek Morgan on Criminal Minds or, ya know, simply existing as a human. On behalf of all the other Shemar diehards out there, I did my due diligence and uncovered a sh*t ton of shirtless pictures of the hunk, including plenty of Instagram selfies that put his cheese-grater-like abs fully on display. Trust us: you'll want to scroll all the way through to the end, but you might want to grab a cold towel first to wipe away your sweat. Don't say we didn't warn you.

Nathan Fillion's Rookie Should Lead Off ABC Tuesday, Solve Roseanne Problem

ABC should recruit Nathan Fillion’s The Rookie to not only fill the Roseanne-shaped hole in its fall line-up, but fix a second Tuesday problem as well.

I was first of this thought in the immediate wake of Roseanne‘s recent and quite unanticipated cancellation (which was precipitated by its star’s racist tweet aimed at former President Obama aide Valerie Jarrett; you may have read about it). I had pushed the idea aside, but now, having screened the first episode of The Rookie, I believe it is the right move to make. And here is why.
