Passengers

This is one of those films you discover on the internet that somehow has evaded your attention when released; with an extraordinarily deep cast and a story you have no inkling about. The acting is perfect. The most impressive thing for me was the dialogue. Every word,in a movie that is not all that "wordy",is great. The rapport between Hathaway and Wilson is the stuff of our most romantic dreams. David Morse is always great. The story is compelling and concludes well. No spoiler here, but the plot line is one of those that will never be resolved without resort to some device that we, as good sports and film nuts, just have to go with. This is economical film making; the plane crash and the love scenes are pared down and "visceral". I like this in films.
