Sex & Nudity

  • The grandpa talks about f**king a lot women. He then tells Dwayne, who is 15, that he should be f**king those young jailbait girls.
  • The grandpa tells Frank that he had second degree burns on his "Johnson" at a retirement home from all the action he got.
  • The grandpa asks Frank to get him some porno magazines. We then see Frank buy about three or four magazines. The camera shows us the cover of one and it has a woman in her underwear showing a massive amount of cleavage.
  • We see a police officer look at the grandfathers porno magazines. The camera gives us a close up and we see on the top left a man and a woman having intercourse, on the top right a woman in black leather showing cleavage, on the bottom left another woman in black leather showing her entire butt, on the bottom right two women holding each other, and in the middle (the most noticeable) a woman wearing white underwear pulling her butt cheeks apart. This is very brief.
  • We see another close up of a magazine. This is the same one that we saw when Frank was buying them in the store. We also see a gay porno magazine with a man on the front. Some sexual phrases are on the magazine. This is very brief.
  • Some other moderate sexual references are made, mostly through conversation.

Violence & Gore

  • Richard tackles the beauty pageant announcer.


  • About 33 f-bombs, 1 use of b-tch, 1 use of b-stard, approximately 5 uses of sh-t, and a few religious exclamations.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • We see an elderly man snort heroin.
  • Sheryl tells the family that the grandpa snorts heroin. Grandpa then tells Dwayne to never do drugs when your young.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The family are running into a moving car. And Olive runs into a moving car as well. And the entire family are seen running into a moving car again. This could be a little tense.
  • Dwayne finds out he is color blind and he freaks out. The family proceed to argue. This is a little intense.

  • It is implied that the grandpa is about to snort heroin. We later learn that he overdosed.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Frank goes through a time of emotional stress and attempted suicide, it is not seen and he does not succeed.
  • The grandfather overdoses on heroin and dies. We see the grandfather's body covered by linen.
  • The grandfather's body is taken from the hospital and hidden in the back of the van. This is not graphic and is portrayed as comical.
