When Mother Nature stirs it up on the Bering Sea, Sean is set on a collision course with another boat, two deckhands get taken down on the Wizard, and Jake almost loses a deckhand...twice.
In the wake of the Destination tragedy, one last storm bears down on Edgar, Bill, Sean and Jake. The Coast Guard attempts to save the crew of a fishing vessel while their boat takes on water.
Before complaining about the market price of Alaska king crab, check out this gripping documentary series, revealing the mortal perils and intense discomfort that fishing crews face on the Bering Sea to catch the delicacy. Those perils include 40-foot waves, 700-pound crab pots that can easily crush a careless crewman, and freezing temperatures around the clock.Written by

In 2018, Edgar Hansen pled guilty of fourth degree sexually assaulting a teenager girl (15 years old) known it as Jane Doe due to federal law that protect under age victims. He faces no jail time. "Deadliest Catch" is the latest offering from the Discovery Channel, and a welcome diversion from their seemingly non-stop "Monster" car or bike building shows. "Catch" follows the crews of several crab boats as they and the rest of the fleet rush to catch as many crab as possible in the ever-shortening Alaskan crab season. The show gives you an in-depth view of the trouble the crew faces doing everyday tasks, like baiting and dropping crab pots, and how these tasks are made harder by the unforgiving Bering Sea. We see everyone from the "greenhorns" (rookies) to the "old salts" and the danger they face every day. As evidence of this, as Discovery was filming one boat sank and another lost a crewman overboard, totaling six deaths in the first episode of the Opilio season. Next time you sit down at Red Lobster and wonder why Alaskan Crab Legs are so much, tune in to Discovery and see why they are worth every penny.
