Storyline

Along the 80s years of La Movida Española (The Madrilenian Scene), Sinfín turned in one of the most important music bands of Spain. But in 1990, about to give its greatest concert in the Plaza of Las Ventas in Madrid, the singer Javi dies in his dressing room by drugs overdose, shocking to his friends, partners and the rest of the country. Fifteen years later, Sinfín's former manager Álex is now manager of Javi's younger brother, Iván, who wants to follow the steps of Javi to be a great singer and musician. Playing in road bars and towns' feasts Iván tries find his place in the music as well as himself while Álex plots a great idea: reunite all Sinfín's members to give the concert that they couldn't by Javi's death. Therefore, the mission is more complicated that it seems: drummer Hilario "Larry" works playing jingles for commercials, guitarist Nacho is a salesman of a shopping center dominated by his wife Puri, and bassist Rafa is music teacher in a high school. unusual but not good
24 March 2007 | by dcldanSee all my reviews

In the 80's,a music group called "sinfin" had quite success, but the suicide of the composer made all the people to abandon the group. Now, as the composer's brother has grown up and he is a good singer, the company decides to revive the group with the new singer. Anyway, time has passed for everybody and being again together will rise ancient grudges and new arguments. The movie has quite not bad gags but it is mostly uninteresting and the only good point is the fact that the main character is Dani Martin (from el Canto del loco) and he is a good singer, so, whenever he sings, the movie is much better (and he is singing half of the film!). Anyway he is not a good actors, and the movie shows that clearly, the rest of the cast is not much better indeed, which results sometimes quite disgusting. The movie is an attempt to make a funny road movie (sometimes it is) but mostly it is just a movie for spend a little time listening to Dani Martin singing and nothing more. It's unusual to have musical films in Spain, but well it is not very good.
