Trumps El Mariachi for exceeding above budgetary constraints.
Just saw this and I'm thoroughly amazed. The script was so consistently clever and funny, and it was directed with such ingenuity and life that I quickly forgot the budget was peanuts.
You will be continually surprised at the amount of effort that the filmmakers put into this. The premise and story are so good, I can see a studio hiring the director for a remake, Desperado style. I guarantee it would be a sold film.
This movie reminds me of Peter Jackson's Bad Taste in spirit and economy. And like Peter Jackson, Matt Kresling's a natural born filmmaker. I hope his career takes off big time.
