‘Flip Flop Solitaire’ re-imagines traditional Solitaire

  • Nerdly
Flip Flop Solitaire was officially released on the App Store for iOS devices this month by mobile game designer Zach Gage and the title is expected to alter the traditional common perception of the classic card game.

Solitaire… But Not As We Know It!

This latest incarnation of Solitaire is a world away from the basic game that so many people first encountered during a period of extreme boredom at the desk of their Windows-powered computer. Creator of the game Gage has already had one attempt at changing the face of Solitaire. Sage Solitaire was released two years ago and looked to take inspiration from the popular card game of poker to give Solitaire a new image.

Enter’s the Spider’s Web

In this new title, Gage has turned to Spider Solitaire for influence. Essentially, the aim is to start with 10 stacks of cards. These stacks must then be

X-Men Franchise Spin-off The New Mutants Debuts With A Wild New Trailer

There’s Something New to Fear.

Celebrate Friday the 13th with the official trailer for The New Mutants.

The New Mutants are a group of teenaged mutant superheroes-in-training appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. They have been the main characters of three successive comic book series, which were spin-offs of the X-Men franchise.

The first team of New Mutants characters was created by Chris Claremont and artist Bob McLeod. They first appeared in 1982’s Marvel Graphic Novel #4 and are subsequently featured in their own title from 1983 until 1991. Like its parent title, The New Mutants highlighted interpersonal and group conflict as well as action and adventure, and featured a large ensemble cast. With the end of the first series, the characters were relaunched as X-Force in a new, eponymous series.

The second New Mutants series, launched in 2003, featured a new group of teenage mutants. Unlike the original New Mutants,

Director Josh Boone recently completed shooting his New Mutants film and we don't have to wait very long before we see the first trailer! The director just announced that the trailer will be released tomorrow at 12:01 am. He posted an image on Instagram, that you can see below, with the following caption: "There's something new to fear #tomorrow #newmutants #teaser #xmen."

I'm excited about this movie because it's set up as a horror film. Boone previously talked about it explaining it was going to be a "full-fledged horror" movie, saying:

“We are making a full-fledged horror movie set within the X-Men universe. There are no costumes. There are no supervillains. We’re trying to do something very, very different.”

I think it's great that they are trying something different and I hope that it ends up being great! He also offered up the following plot details::

2.1 The Loved One

TV is so saturated with crime mystery that it can feel as though we’ve seen it all before. Corpses on slabs, evidence walls, corrupt police, hard-drinking detectives with personal demons… Top Of The Lake has all of the above, with added extras. With strange imagery and offbeat characters, it gives us the genre essentials packaged alongside something new to look at and plenty new to think about.

Episode two’s flashback to Robin and Johnno’s wedding one month earlier overflowed with new things to look at. Unusual sights abounded – Tui in white coattails, the bride in a bomber jacket,

Love actually: the rise of interracial romcoms

Mixed raced relationships on screen aren’t new, but they’ve rarely been seen in romcoms. Now, The Big Sick and The Incredible Jessica James are about to change that

Those who snuggle up on the sofa with a bowl of popcorn, a Slanket and a pile of Drew Barrymore DVDs are not seeking to have their core values challenged. We romcom fans are a disparate lot, but we are united in our pursuit of comfort. So perhaps we missed the big romance movies of the last six months. Loving and A United Kingdom both told the true stories of interracial couples who triumphed over 20th-century racism, while the contemporary-set horror Get Out, while not a romcom, used a fictional interracial couple to question how far we have really come.

But upcoming romcoms with mixed race match-ups, such as The Big Sick (out 28 July ) and The Incredible Jessica James (also

Spider-Man: Homecoming Introduces Damage Control To The McU

For the longest time in superhero movies, not a lot of time was spent on the little guy. The superheroes would perform these massive feats of strength, level an entire city, and simply go about their business as if nothing went wrong. It happened all the time, and it’s only in recent years that these films have started to deal with the repercussions. The DC Extended Universe did so with Batman v Superman, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe did so with Captain America: Civil War. On the TV front, there’s an entire sitcom called Powerless that revolves around this whole idea of cleaning up after superheroes.

We’ve gotten to this place in film to where these deeper questions need to be ask. As the mythology grows, one has to begin to wonder how the actions from superheroes actually have an effect on this world. Now only do
