Storyline

The Doctor, a Time Lord/Lady from the race whose home planet is Gallifrey, travels through time and space in his/her ship the TARDIS (an acronym for Time and Relative Dimension In Space) with numerous companions. From time to time he/she regenerates into a new form (which is how the series has been running since the departure of the original actor, William Hartnell, in 1966).

Trivia

Future Companion and Doctor Karen Gillan and Peter Capaldi appeared in Doctor Who: The Fires of Pompeii (2008), in different roles. Gillan as a Soothsayer, and Capaldi as Caecilius. The Soothsayer had not been considered by Steven Moffat to be an ancestor of Amy Pond, and in Doctor Who: Deep Breath (2014), when the Twelfth Doctor sees himself in the mirror, he remembers Caecilius, and remarks that he had seen that face before. Both Scottish cast members would appear together again in Doctor Who: The Time of the Doctor (2013), in which Gillan made a cameo as Amy Pond, and Capaldi appeared in the final seconds as the newly regenerated Twelfth Doctor. One of My Favorite Shows!
19 October 2014 | by See all my reviews

I've been watching "New Who" Since 2005 and I have loved every episode! Each story is exciting, fun, clever and generally fantastic! If you are a fan of Science Fiction, Action, Adventure, Drama or in many cases Horror then you will enjoy this show.

One of the reason the show remains fresh after so long on the air is the Doctors ability to regenerate, this is a plot device added when the first Doctor, William Hartnell, was becoming too old for the part and so changes the Doctors appearance and personality allowing the show to change it's entire feel whenever the lead actor leaves and needs replaced.

This show isn't just for children, it's for everyone, I would highly recommend watching this show to anyone as it is one of, if not my favourite show on TV to date.
