For the Digital 3-D presentation, the film was projected in 1.85:1 aspect ratio, with the original 2.39:1 (Cinemascope) aspect ratio letter-boxed. This allowed objects to move beyond the normal frame boundaries and (in theory) enhance the 3-D depth effect.

In the opening logos for the film, the normal Jerry Bruckheimer Films logo was edited to have the main agent (guinea pig) running up the road and then when the lightning strikes, he says, "Whoa, not cool!"

Director Hoyt Yeatman's son, Hoyt Yeatman IV, came up with the original idea for the film when he was five years old. Yeatman liked his son's story so much that he brought it to producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

The bakery in the movie, "Giselle's Bakery," was named after Giselle Yeatman, Hoyt Yeatman's wife. She also named the character "Mooch," after the word "mouche," which is the word for "fly" in French.
