How many adaptations of Christie's famous play are there?Probably more than you'll ever know. This one is a filmed stage production ;of course it's based on the play ,not on the novel ,so do not expect the "real" ending .The names were Frenchified (Claytone,Martone, etc) which is not necessarily a good idea since Christie's atmosphere is typically English.

This is minor quibble;Juliette Villard -sadly soon to die from leukemia-is a beautiful insolent Vera.Vivianne Gosset is ideally cast as the holier-than-thou Emily. And the rest of the cast rises to the occasion. Some people (who knew neither the films nor the play) were disappointed by the ending. But it's a good show.Do not miss it if it's broadcast again one of these days.
