The literal translation of the Korean title is, "Female Teacher vs. Female Pupil". "Yeoseonsaeng" is a play-on-words, where "yeo" means "female" but is also the surname of the main woman character, Mi-ok Yeo, and "seonsaeng" means "teacher". In other words, "yeoseonsaeng" can mean either "female teacher" or "Teacher Yeo". In a western classroom, she would be addressed as "Ms. Yeo". See more »
it's always fun watching Korean girls fight over a guy
I saw this movie a while ago in Asia and it also had an alternative title "Teacher vs Student". Usually I hate the way Korean girls act; though Korean actresses are some of the most beautiful women in the world, the characters they portray tend to whine and cry a lot and act totally irrational.
But the girls in this movie are smart and funny and the way they fight is freaking hysterical considering the age difference.
The only thing I didn't like about this movie is that it felt a little too long. Parts of the movie felt like it was getting too serious for a comedy, but luckily it picks up again and the ending is very satisfying!
