R-Rated ‘Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay’ Trailer Introduces New Members

It has been four years since we’ve seen the animated Suicide Squad wreck havoc in the DC Animated Universe in Batman: Assault on Arkham. This time the squad is back and badder than ever. At least that’s what it looks like. A new trailer for the all-new Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay shows us some familiar faces with some brand new additions new additions to the team. Check out the trailer below.

Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay rated R for strong bloody violence throughout, sexual content, brief graphic nudity, and some drug material, “Amanda Waller’s top secret “Task Force X” – Deadshot, Bronze Tiger, Killer Frost, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn and Copperhead – [are] on a mission to retrieve a mystical object so powerful that they’re willing to risk their own lives to steal it. But the Suicide Squad isn’t the only group of villains seeking to possess the object.

First Trailer For DC Animation's Suicide Squad: Hell To Pay Looks Brilliant

The first trailer for Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay has arrived, and it looks promising. That used to be something you wouldn't have to say about DC Animated Features, but they've been spotty as of late in my personal opinion so all I can say here is the trailer looks pretty damn good. The lineup of heroes is better than the live-action film, Tara Strong is voicing Harley, and the violence doesn't appear to be limited as Quinn just smacked the head off that frozen guy! Let's just hope Vandal Savage is more interesting this time around than he was in Legends of Tomorrow. Christian Slater also stars in the film as Deadshot!

An original story, Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay finds Amanda Waller’s top secret “Task Force X” – Deadshot, Bronze Tiger, Killer Frost, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn and Copperhead – on a mission to retrieve a mystical object so

Go Team Venture! The Venture Bros. season 7 coming next year!

  • JoBlo
The Venture Bros. is an amazing show. One of the things that makes it a great show is that the show is pretty much made solely by two dudes, Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer (Christopher McCulloch and Eric A. Hammer, respectively). This is great, because it keeps things consistent and keeps a distinct personality running throughout the show. The issue is that episodes take Forever to produce. For instance, the last episode... The Venture Bros. Won't Return For Season 7 Until the End of 2018

I've got some good news and some bad news for all of you fans of The Venture Bros. The good news is the series will return to Adult Swim for a seventh season! The bad news is we won't see it until November 11th, 2018! Yikes!

The return of the series was announced on Adult Swim with a bump that was uploaded onto YouTube by a fan, which you can watch below. The bump aired on Friday and discouragingly points out that it's been 543 days since The Venture Bros. Season 6 ended and that we have to wait 422 days for Season 7 to premiere.

That means by the time Season 7 airs, two years, seven months, and 22 days will have passed without any new episodes of The Venture Bros. That's a long ass time to wait! Hopefully, the world hasn't ended in a nuclear holocaust by the time it's supposed to air!

The time

The Tick review: a laugh-out-loud superhero satire

Ron Hogan Aug 25, 2017

The Tick, out now on Amazon Prime Video, is huge fun. Here's how the show achieves what its creator envisioned 21 years ago...

In 1994, I was about to be a freshman in high school. Despite being “too old” for cartoons, there wasn’t really anything else on television on Saturday mornings while I was waiting for wrestling to show up on my television screen. I remember most of the cartoons I saw only in the vaguest terms: the creepy face of Louie Anderson’s gargoyle animated child or a screaming purple cat. I know the name of both shows because I looked them up prior to writing this article, but I couldn’t tell you anything about them. However, one show I watched regularly in the mid to late 90s stuck with me well into adulthood, and that’s the 1994-96 animated version of The Tick.

Inside Cartoon Network’s Bold New Animated Series ‘Ok K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes’

Cartoon Network will debut the new animated series “Ok K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes” on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Et/Pt, and it’s a show unlike any other for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is the console game designed alongside the series that will launch sometime this fall.

The story revolves around K.O., a young wannabe hero who lives in a world populated by superheroes who fight robots from a nefarious factory called Boxmore.

The half-hour series, which will air at 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday following its hourlong premiere, is different from just about any animated show in many ways, particularly with regard to the game. Games usually come after a series has been well established, bringing with it a guaranteed fan base, but Cartoon Network wanted to change that dynamic.

“We actually started working with Capybara Games before we had even made any episodes of the

EA releases featurette focusing on the story of Star Wars: Battlefront II

  • JoBlo
I've always found it interesting when stories peek behind the curtain of the bad guys in popular movies, comics, or television shows. Usually it's satirical (like The Venture Brothers), but sometimes - like in a lot of Batman stories - we get a deep sense of the antagonists and what makes them tick (and sometimes the fact we being to sympathize with them makes them even scarier). Anyway, I find it cool that... Read More...

Kate McKinnon to Voice Ms. Frizzle in Netflix's 'Magic School Bus' Reboot
The Magic School Bus is about to take a whole new batch of kids on a fantastic voyage, and one of the funniest women in Hollywood is climbing aboard.

The beloved educational children's show is getting rebooted in the upcoming Netflix series Magic School Bus Rides Again -- and Saturday Night Live star Kate McKinnon is set to voice everyone's favorite eccentric teacher, Ms. Frizzle.

Watch: Kate McKinnon's Emotional Emmy Acceptance Speech Steals the Show: 'I'm Really Crying!'

Perfect casting is one thing, but McKinnon being tapped to play Ms. Frizzle is seriously next-level brilliance. While no one could match Lily Tomlin's take on the character, McKinnon is sure to put a new spin on the beloved educator.

Netflix announced the casting news on Wednesday, but the reboot series has been in the works since 2014. In a press release at the time, Netflix said that Magic School Bus Rides Again will provide a new audience

Patrick Warburton on Playing ‘Miserable’ Lemony Snicket in Netflix’s ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’

Patrick Warburton on Playing ‘Miserable’ Lemony Snicket in Netflix’s ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’
Netflix’s “Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events” is not the first adaptation of the wildly popular young adult book series. But Barry Sonnenfeld’s version of Snicket’s darkly funny world is a little different from the 2004 film; namely, the cast. Neil Patrick Harris has stepped into the role of the villainous count Olaf, replacing Jim Carrey; while Jude Law was the eponymous Snicket, the authorial persona of Daniel Handler, Law has been replaced for the series by Patrick Warburton, he of “Seinfeld” and “The Tick” and “Men in Black” fame. Warburton called up Variety to talk about coming to the series, which premiered Jan. 13, and what it’s like to be at the center of various fandoms.

You’ve got four kids; were they fans of the book series?

My kids actually wouldn’t read the books because the parents die in a horrible fire, so they wanted nothing to do with them

Emily Whitten’s New York Comic Con 2016 Round-Up!

  • Comicmix
New York Comic Con has once again rushed by in a giant, fun, crazy blur, and although I didn’t get to nearly all the things I was hoping to, I did have a rockin’ time and see some really cool things I can share.

The first of these were a few great panels I landed seats for, including, as is my tradition, the Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles panel. If you don’t know I love the current Tmnt, then what are you, new here? But seriously, I love it. And each panel I have gone to brings something new and different.

This panel (with Andrea Romano (voice director), Eric Bauza (Tiger Claw), Kevin Michael Richardson (The Shredder), Greg Cipes (Mikey), Rob Paulsen (Donnie), and Ciro Nieli (Executive Producer)) was particularly fun, because one of the things they did was a live read of episode #420, “The Super Shredder,” which

Exclusive: Dean wants to succeed on his own terms in deleted 'Venture Bros' Season 6 clip
Before Bojack Horseman came along to make us stare into the abyss of our own failures and laugh at them, there was The Venture Bros. Over the course six seasons, the Adult Swim show has morphed from a parody of old cartoons (notably Johnny Quest) to a complex treatise on failure and how the soft, strangling hands of childhood emotional baggage can hamstring even the most promising future. All while oscillating between biting social commentary, dry humor, and genuine moments of emotional connection between characters. Now that the sixth season has come to and end — and with Season 7 only a nebulous promise — it’s time to settle in for the long sleep between seasons. Luckily, at least the Blu-ray™ and DVD set of Season 6 arrives on October 4, 2016. HitFix got our hands on an exclusive clip above from the box set, featuring a short deleted scene featuring Dean Venture (Michael Sinterniklaas

Adult Swim Revives Samurai Jack As Network Courts Linear, Online Viewers

Adult Swim wants to cut a new swath through its audience.

The Time Warner-owned cable programmer that tilts toward millennial viewers and younger generations with animated fare shown in primetime and overnights, said it would release more original programming via streaming video for daytime viewing as part of an effort to spur its audience to increase consumption of its oddball but cult-favorite content.

The outlet ” simply knows its audience,” said Christina Miller, president and general manager, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Boomerang, in a prepared statement.

As part of its slate of programs, expected to be cited next week during a presentation by Time Warner’s Turner unit, Adult Swim will unveil its revival of “Samurai Jack,” the former Cartoon Network series that has not produced an original episode since 2004.
