Storyline

Bud Norris, a young cowboy on Triple Star Ranch, is very fond of fast horses, and finding a horse that pleases his fancy while at the races, he buys the animal and rides it home. On the way home he passes the home of Daisy Miller, his sweetheart, who lives with her aunt in the outskirts of the town. She greets him, and they are admiring the horse together, when Auntie appears and upbraids Bud for his fondness for racing and tells him never to call upon Daisy again. The audience laughed heartily at this comedy
6 April 2016 | by deickemeyerSee all my reviews

The audience laughed heartily at this comedy. Auntie has upbraided the young man for his love for racing and has forbidden his calling upon her niece, Daisy, any more. Auntie herself is looking for a gentle horse. In town she sees a mule attached to an old rig and buys it. On the way home the cowboy overtakes her and challenges her to a race. And there is a race. Auntie evidently has sporting blood, too. She stands up in the rickety old vehicle and applies the gad to that mule in a way that sends it flying over the ground while Bud keeps close behind, arranging it so they arrive at the house neck and neck. Auntie immediately removes her objections to his attentions to Daisy. - The Moving Picture World, September 9, 1911
