‘Vice’ First Look: Christian Bale Shocks With Extreme Dick Cheney Transformation
Christian Bale is known for delivering shocking physical transformations, from his dramatic weight loss in “The Machinist” to his hefty weight gain in “American Hustle,” and he’s up to his usual tricks as Dick Cheney in “Vice.” Originally titled “Backseat,” “Vice” is writer-director Adam McKay’s next dramatic feature following the Oscar-winning success of “The Big Short.” Vanity Fair has debuted the first look at the movie, which finds Bale packing on the pounds to play the 46th Vice President of the United States.

“Vice” tracks Cheney’s rise into one of the most prominent vice presidents in American history. Amy Adams stars opposite Bale as Lynne Cheney, while Steve Carell plays Donald Rumsfeld and Sam Rockwell plays George W. Bush. Both Carell and Bale starred in McKay’s “The Big Short,” with Bale earning an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor.

The Big Short” was a surprising change of pace for McKay,

‘Holmes and Watson’ Trailer: Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly Just Became Best Friends (Again) — Watch
Did Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly just become best friends (again?) Yup. The “Step Brothers” and “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” co-stars are at it again in “Holmes and Watson,” which deductive reasoners will quickly identify as a new take on the Sherlock Holmes mythos; Ferrell plays the detective, with Reilly as his trusted sidekick. Watch the first trailer below.

Ferrell’s portrayal is preceded by those of John Barrymore, Christopher Lee, Robert Downey Jr., and Ian McKellen, among many others. His latest case is of the comic variety, with the two funny men embarrassing themselves in front of the Queen, tricking each other with such masterful disguises as a mustache, and firing pistols at the bees they just accidentally released themselves; all the while, Ralph Fiennes is plotting to kill Her Majesty.

Among its other merits, this may be the first Sherlock Holmes movie in which someone actually says,

‘Step Brothers’ 10th Anniversary: Adam McKay on Reuniting Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly and Inventing the Catalina Wine Mixer

‘Step Brothers’ 10th Anniversary: Adam McKay on Reuniting Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly and Inventing the Catalina Wine Mixer
Hot off back-to-back hits “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” and “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby,” writer-director Adam McKay already had inspiration for what would become his next blockbuster.

He wanted to re-team with Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly on a project that involved collapsing bunk beds.

That became the foundation for “Step Brothers,” McKay’s absurdist comedy that sees Ferrell and Reilly as Brennan Huff and Dale Doback, two infantilized 40-year-olds who live at home with their newly married parents, played by Mary Steenburgen and Richard Jenkins.

The over-the-top farce took longer than McKay’s other movies to gain cult status, but it has since become one of most quotable movies of the past decade. Though McKay admits that of all his films, “Step Brothers” might have had the most “absurd” premise, he still wanted to ensure the film wasn’t just filled with empty laughs.

Showtime Finally Announces Sacha Baron Cohen Series ‘Who Is America?’ — Watch First-Look Teaser
Showtime is finally shedding the secrecy behind “Who Is America?” — the new new satirical half-hour series from comedian Sacha Baron Cohen. Baron Cohen is the writer and director behind the new series, his first TV show in more than a decade.

The seven-episode series has been in the works over the past year, per Showtime, and “will explore the diverse individuals, from the infamous to the unknown across the political and cultural spectrum, who populate our unique nation.” “Who Is America?” premieres on streaming, online and On Demand this Sunday, July 15 at midnight Et (9 p.m. Pt July 14), and will premiere on air that same night at 10 p.m. Et.

“Sacha is a comedic genius who shocks you with his audacity, bravery and inventiveness,” said Showtime Networks president/CEO David Nevins. “He is the premier provocateur of our time, but not for the sake of ‘gotcha’ moments. Behind the elaborate

Sacha Baron Cohen in Talks With Showtime for Comedy Interview Series (Exclusive)
Sacha Baron Cohen is eyeing a return to the type of TV that made him a star.

Baron Cohen is in talks with Showtime to distribute a new series in which he will star, sources tell Variety. The format is said to be similar to Baron Cohen’s “Da Ali G Show,” which aired on Channel 4 in the U.K. and HBO in the U.S. Baron Cohen teased the project on July 4, releasing a cryptic video via social media that said, in part, “He’s back as you’ve never seen him before.”

The video also featured real footage of Donald Trump insulting Baron Cohen and ends with the logo of the now-defunct Trump University. Other than Trump, Baron Cohen could also be targeting other celebrities. He was reported to have filmed a stunt with O.J. Simpson in his Las Vegas hotel room in February.

Say Goodbye to Your Childhood - Netflix Is Getting Rid of a Ton of Disney Movies

Every month, Netflix goes through its catalog and purges a few titles, but I have to say, next month is going to hit me especially hard. In May, the streaming service is getting rid of a ton of my favorite Disney Channel original movies. The Cheetah Girls franchise? Gone. The Camp Rock movies? No more. Even underrated hits like Jump In! and Read It and Weep are being scrubbed from Netflix. The only solace I have is that High School Musical 3 - arguably the best HSM movie - will be available soon. Get ready to say goodbye to your childhood as these Disney movies (and many more classics) disappear from your queue forever.

Netflix Picks Up Liz Feldman Dark Comedy Series Dead to Me

Comedic giants Will Ferrell and Adam McKay just landed a new deal with Netflix, but they won’t be collaborating on a script this time around. Their new dark comedy will be written by an Emmy Award-winning female comedian.

While many know Ferrell for his sketch comedy work on Saturday Night Live, along with comedic roles in films like Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Step Brothers, and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (to name a few), McKay is still relatively unknown, at least as a recognizable pop culture figure.
