Now incarcerated, Dr. Wells (Eobard Thawne) proposes a plan: use the awakened Particle Accelerator to create a stable worm hole that'll grant Barry and himself each their deepest desires, respectively a living mother and a 22nd century return trip home. The risks are great. Tampering with time will cause permanent and unpredictable changes, let alone a chance at mistakenly spawning a black hole on Earth. In the meantime, Wells suspects that Cisco might be a meta-human, and Eddie (apprised of his rather unique, coincidental position) fulfills a personal wish.

The title "Fast Enough" is a reference to when the Reverse Flash said he wasn't fast enough. See more
When Dr. Stein is explaining the time travel calculations, he says they will "inject a hydrogen proton into the particle accelerator." Protons are the same, regardless of the element they come from. A hydrogen proton is the same as an oxygen proton or an iron proton or a plutonium proton. Elements are differentiated (partially) by the number of protons they have. Hydrogen has 1, oxygen had 8, etc. The subatomic particles are the same, so the phrase "hydrogen proton" is somewhat meaningless; however, In Particle Physics, hydrogen atoms are delivered in "packets" into the first stage of the accelerator (Linear Accelerator). These hydrogen atoms can only be used after their electrons are stripped away, leaving hydrogen protons. This is why they are known as hydrogen protons, and not simply protons. See more
I've controlled your life for so long, Barry. How will you get along without me?
