A complete waste of time!
prizahaber27 February 2006
This movie is a complete waste of time. There is nothing interesting at all. The script was written by an amateur with no flair for suspense action, and character development.

The only poignant part of the movie was, 4 minutes into the movie, the pregnant girl says "I'll kill your baby, I swear to God, I'll do it right now, I'll punch my stomach until I kill your baby".

Laws should be drafted to protect children from the sick mothers who cannot care for them. Every time a girl has a miscarriage, all areas related to child murder should be investigated in case she committed murder!

Not worth the video it was shot on.

It was my distinct misfortune to have attempted to watch this movie (loosely termed). All I can say is, "AWFUL!"

1) Running soundtrack in the background. Not just mood music to increase tension, but a running jukebox of poorly recorded local rock tunes. Is this a music video or a movie?

2) Shot on video. A lot of yellow lighting.

3) What's the story line? Who can follow it? Who cares?

4) Characters that are barely two dimensional, let alone ones you would care about.

5) Fight scenes? Non existent. With a title like Two Fisted and a Tag Line of "Prepare for the Ultimate Beatdown.", you would expect at least some good fight scenes. Not there.

Throw in a mess of characters and a matchstick framework of back story and you sit there during this holocaust saying, "What?"

It's incoherent, all over the place, and as solid as tissue paper. I couldn't sit through the whole thing. After 40 minutes of trying to understand what the writer/director was attempting to do, I found myself fast forwarding to the next scene, watching a minute or two, fast forwarding, etc.

Needless to say, not worth the time. Don't bother with this one.

Prepare for the ultimate pappy-show!
smiley-3214 May 2006
I saw this film not too long ago.. Although the DVD was out for over a month.. I couldn't believe I wasted my money on a movie that didn't make no sense..

OK! You got this character, Ty Sabala (played by Jason Sabala) a former fist-fighter who returns his homeland after his Mother died. There, he meets up with his old friends and takes up on a new job.

From there, I thought Sabala was gonna go round and beat up some bad guys.. You know? Settle the score kind of thing.. I was wrong. After getting into this film.. I was beginning to get bored. I said to myself 'Just keep watching the film..' I did.

After over 100 minutes of pure boredom.. I felt that the film had lost its steam. There weren't enough action scenes.. The characters weren't that great.

Jason Sabala himself should've been an action hero in this film.. I couldn't really get into the film.

Well, so much for low budget film-making.. But if Todd Freeman, the director had put more effort into the film.. It would've been a sure winner..

Anyway, it's a shame that the film didn't work out for me in the end.. Sorry, but this is a thumbs down..!

Prepare for the ultimate showdown? Unlikely..

What is this? Terrible Mess...
destroyerwod18 October 2013
I rarely stop watching a movie underway, even when i think its pretty bad i usually go on the computer, let it run in the background, keep watching it from the second eye if you know what i mean. Sometimes it turn out better once the pace is established. But with this "movie", i could not. I think its also the first time i rate a movie 1 on IMDb... ever.

I tried watching it around a year ago with beers... after buying it on ebay because i am into martial arts and fighting movies. The terrible intro with bad music, horrible shaky cam made me turn it off very soon, thinking to myself i won't waste a movie night with beer on this. Ill watch it one day when I'm bored and i will go on the computer if its too bad. But today... i let it run around just after the first "fight" if you can call this a fight. It was TERRIBLE. I could not even follow the story at all, they just throw stuff at you and you are like "what??". I didn't know who where the characters, the point of the story etc...

And when the first fight is just that horrible... then you know there won't be any redeeming quality what so ever.

I am not against low budget movies. One movie call "Among Dead Men" was pretty solid with a nice enough storyline(easy to follow too) with great brutal fighting and i heard it was shot with a couple thousand dollars, thats it.

But here, its shot very cheaply, the story don't make any sense, the characters have no charisma and the only fight i saw was awful... So no this movie has absolutely nothing going for itself. Even when you put the "menu" its some kind of cheap stock menu that look like an homemade DVD... Even with Windows Movie Maker i could do better...

And the funny thing... this movie is rate 5 on IMDb... i am starting to think the whole crew voted it a 10... because considering very good movies score barely a 6... this movie could not never achieve such score.

give a nice guy a break...

For the money spent to produce this movie, I think it works pretty well. Would I have been able to follow the storyline had I not read the script first? Probably not, it does meander a lot, and doesn't seem to have a solid through-line. Would I have liked to see Jason Sabala putting more foot to ass? Hell yeah! The rest of the cast also shines. Robert Blanche makes his character, Vincent, one of those ruthless bastards that you just can't help but cheer for a little bit. Danny Bruno's scene is the men's room is hands-down one of the most memorable moments for me. Do I think Todd Freeman will make more solid films as his career continues? Yes, I do. Even if you were bored by or didn't like 'Two Fisted', you have to admit that it is pretty damned gritty and cool. I am a Todd Freeman fan, and can't wait to see what he has up his sleeve next. He is a true talent, and has yet to unleash his full fury on indie film audiences...
