Storyline

This reality TV series from Bravo follows around struggling child performers of all stripes (actors, singers, beauty pageant princesses), but focuses on the parents, largely looking at the different ways the parents fit the sterotype of the pushy "Stage Mother" or "Showbiz Mom". Not good. Shame on you

This show is kind of interesting, but goes for the cheap thrills rather than providing any real insights. It is like a tabloid version of a documentary.

If you want to see a really good film on the same subject (and probably the very thing that Bravo ripped off for this totally unoriginal idea), watch Living Dolls, a documentary that aired on HBO a few years ago. That was a real look at the lives of these young beauty contestants, not just a cheap rip-off like this.

I understand the need to capitalize on the "reality" show trend, and I think that has its place, but I wish that they would stick to eating bugs and dating shows rather than taking interesting subjects that should be reserved for real films and stretching the premise to fit into a TV show format.
