Storyline

Set just before the start of the Armageddon, the series follows two central characters, a physicist and a nun in a race against time to see if the end of the world can be averted. Bill Pullman plays the role of Dr. Richard Massey, a Harvard physics professor and father mourning the death of his daughter, who was murdered by an evil satanist with seemingly supernatural abilities. Natascha McElhone stars as a nun who appeals to Massey to help her investigate whether the apocalyptic prophecy from the Book of Revelations is starting to come true. Written by anon

Quotes

Richard: Can I ask you something? Why did you become a nun? A young woman, attractive, her whole life ahead of her. Giving up having babies, knowing men, going to parties. Never a temptation? Never a regret?
Sister Josepha Montefiore: Regret, never. But, um, temptation, always. This is the essence of consciousness. Consciousness being awareness of choice, choice between good and evil, which is the essence of temptation.
Richard: Boy, you know how to discourage idle chatter.

Part 7: The Explanation
19 May 2005 | by glentom1See all my reviews

Did I miss some key part of this mini-series? I watched all 6 parts. Granted, I missed a few minutes of some of the parts, but at the end of Part 6, I had no clue what happened.

I have liked Pullman in other things, and he may be the only reason I followed this mini-series, but even he could not pull it out.

This movie was the worst TV mini-series I have ever seen. I kept waiting for some interesting, thrilling epiphany, but it ended in such a whimper that I was left shocked.

Maybe they should do a Part 7, if for no other reason than to explain why they did the first 6.
