Quotes

Ewan McGregor: I just had one of the most extraordinary days on The Road of Bones. We started at 7:30 and we didn't stop for a break 'til 6:30 this evening. They were twelve of the most exciting hours of motorcycling I've ever done in my life, unbelievable. The roads were just deteriorated and deteriorated. We were riding on mud, gravel, and puddles, and pot holes, and rivers, and bogs. It was just everything thrown at us at once.

Alternate Versions

On its original airing, the series featured seven episodes. The original 2-disc DVD set comprises these original episodes. The show has subsequently been re-edited into a 10-episode series. Notably, the preparation for the trip has been extended over two episodes. There is also additional footage during the trip itself. There is also an entirely new tenth episode, a retrospective of their journey. This extended series has been broadcast on Sky television in the UK, and is also available on a new 3-disc DVD set. Brilliant

Brilliant, excellent, gritty, realistic, inspiring, And those are the bad bits.

This is a fabulous piece of television , and I would recommend that you watch it.

If you like bikes, or even if you don't, it won't matter, this is a class apart.

The whole premise is so real, with a warts and all approach, you feel at one with the two guys, at times I was helping them, and sharing their laughs and their problems.

I can't recommend it highly enough
