Marie has a very busy father. Walking in the town, he meets people in every corner, and little Marie gets bored listening to adults talk. To make her point, she decides to climb to the round tower. But when daddy still doesn't notice her disappearance, she has to find other ways to express herself. The burst of anger is needed to make the girl and her father to understand each other. I adore this film and have watched it over and over. It's about 14 minutes long and reminds me of my childhood in the 60's and early 70's. Such a beautiful little girl - with her adult teeth punctuating such a happy, natural smile; strawberry blonde hair and slight freckles - is just wanting to play with another pretty little girl...but her Dad's pursuits are, alas, more important to him.
I got the film from Spiritual Cinema Circle, a service I joined which ships you about 5 Independent films per month on a couple of DVDs. The disc "Lille Far/Little Daddy" is on also includes the wonderful "Eldra" a feature-length film shot in Wales.
