The 17th Man...
4 February 2005 | by directorspenceSee all my reviews

What's good about this film is that it feels like it's going to pull some punches but doesn't and it keeps the story in very good order. Clever script, great cinematography, direction and acting from the two male leads. There were a few quarrels I had with the editing in the beginning of the film (it just had to deal with cutting shots short while dialog was still playing out, but it's just my opinion of what's good, it wasn't a mistake), but then was pleased with what I saw in the rest of it (especially the last few minutes). The two female leads are just above average, but the rest of the movie is so well done it doesn't matter. Really good stuff.
