'Bone in the Throat' Director Graham Henman Remembers Anthony Bourdain

Director, producer and writer Graham Henman spent the early 1990s hanging out in the kitchen after hours with Anthony Bourdain, whom he met by eating at Les Halles — Bourdain's New York City restaurant — with friends.

Two decades later, Henman adapted Bourdain’s 1995 novel, Bone in the Throat, into the 2015 film of the same name (starring Gossip Girl's Ed Westwick and The Crown's Vanessa Kirby). Bourdain served as an executive producer. "He was totally supportive and encouraging,” Henman tells The Hollywood Reporter of their experience working together.

The Bold Type's New Boss on Season 2 Changes, Kat's Sexuality and #MeToo

Incoming The Bold Type showrunner Amanda Lasher doesn’t want to change what made the Freeform drama so special in its first year — but she does want to go deeper in Season 2 (premiering with two episodes on Tuesday at 8/7c).

“I came on as a fan of the show,” the Gossip Girl and Sweet/Vicious vet tells TVLine. “I enjoyed the way the girls supported each other, the way they found a balance to tackle social issues, but also do it in a way that was fun… I loved Jacqueline as this mentor who’s really aspirational and positive.”

As the series’ new boss,

Shay Mitchell Has a Pretty Little Hookup for Kylie Jenner Lip Kits — and Tbh, We're Jealous (Exclusive)

What do Shay Mitchell and Kylie Jenner have in common? Both beauties share makeup artist Ariel Tejada, which means the Pretty Little Liars star has direct access to the uber popular lip kits before everyone else. Are you jealous yet? "Yes, I do," Shay told Life & Style exclusively about her envy-inducing lip kit hookup. "It's funny. I just ran out of her first palette eyeshadow, and [Ariel] sent her a photo, and said, 'Shay's literally used these to the bare minimum.' And so she sent me the exact same palette, which was awesome. So, thank you Kylie." As for her favorite in the collection, Shay didn't hesitate to name the Kourt collection. "It's like a reddish-orange," she added, forgetting the name of her go-to shade. "I love that one." A post shared by Shay Mitchell (@shaymitchell) on Apr 28, 2018 at 11:44am Pdt Shay might not star on the Freeform show any longer,

‘The Bold Type’ Boss Talks Expanding the World in Season 2 and ‘Moving on From #MeToo’

When Freeform renewed “The Bold Type” in October of last year, a new showrunner was brought onboard the women’s magazine-set drama: Amanda Lasher comes with a list of credits that include “Gossip Girl,” “Togetherness” and most recently “Sweet/Vicious.” But one title she also says is key is fan of the first season of the show.

“A lot of people found the show and really responded to it, myself included,” Lasher tells Variety about the first season. To that end, she “very much wanted to continue the thread” of the show, rather than come in with a lot of changes.

17 TV Reboots That Should Have Been Booted (Photos)
With reboots of “Charmed” and “Magnum Pi” on the way, TheWrap looks at TV revivals that never should’ve happened

“Charlie’s Angels”

“Charlie’s Angels” perfectly captured the goofiness of the ’70s, but it felt painfully out of date in 2011. Critics and audiences agreed: It was canceled after three episodes.

Ironside

Blair Underwood has done some memorable TV work, starting with his career-making role on “L.A. Law.” But his 2013 take on the Raymond Burr crime drama was yanked from NBC’s air even faster than you can say “Lax” or “The Event.”

The Bionic Woman

A 2007 take on the “Six Million Dollar Man” spinoff, this NBC show’s original sin was casting “Battlestar Galactica” ass-kicker Katee Sackhoff as the recurring villain rather than the lead.

Knight Rider

Like so much ’80s television, the original “Knight Rider” is over-celebrated. But NBC’s 2008 version lacked even the original’s dumb charms — and David Hasselhoff.
