Blake Lively Couldn't Help but Make a Gossip Girl Reference When She Was
If you've been missing your one and only source of a glance at the lives of Manhattan's elite, let Blake Lively's Dec. 8 Instagram post fill the void. Earlier in the week, the 31-year-old actress stopped by the Chanel fashion show in New York City, and she couldn't help but make a reference to her Gossip Girl character's old stomping grounds.

Many may know the 31-year-old actress from her roles in movies such as A Simple Favor and The Age of Adaline, but Blake shot to stardom when she brought Serena van der Woodsen to life on the small screen back in 2007. More than 10 years later, Blake shared a photo exiting the Chanel show and captioned it "Spotted: S, back on the steps of the Met." Fans immediately recognized the Gossip Girl lingo, and burst into excitement.

While Blake's former costar Leighton Meester said she's not interested in a revival of the CW teen drama,

The Orville Season 2: Isaac Gives Claire Notes on Parenting — 2019 First Look
Having previously suggested that vaporizing Claire’s children could tame the restless youths (and good), The Orville‘s Isaac seems to be offering a more sensible approach in this first look at Season 2 of Fox’s space dramedy.

When the Seth MacFarlane-produced and -led series returns on Sunday, Dec. 30 at 8/7c (following an NFL doubleheader), Ed and the crew race to save a small group of survivors on a planet about to be destroyed by its sun, while Bortus and Klyden start marriage counseling after Bortus’ obsession with the ship’s simulation room gets (ahem) out of hand.

Dirty John Isn't Alone: TV's Creepiest Relationships and Dating Horror Stories

Dirty John may tell the tale of TV's latest totally creepy relationship, but it's not the first.  John Meehan's onscreen debut comes in a long line of total creeps, and while most of them are not based on real-life creeps, they're all still totally disturbing. Some were one-off relationships, like when Joey Tribbiani dated his stalker, Brooke Shields, and others lasted many episodes or even seasons to the point where we've begun to wonder what was wrong with us for watching it for so long. Serena was literally dating the Gossip Girl! We even through in a few reality shows, just to show that bad relationships are not reserved for fiction.  Anyway, we must apologize in advance for how...

‘Robin Hood’ Review: Revisionist History Has Never Been Dumber or More Boring

  • Indiewire
This year has seen a (small) handful of movies as bad as Otto Bathurst’s revisionist new “Robin Hood,” but none of them — not “Mile 22” nor “The Happytime Murders” nor even Dinesh D’Souza’s “Death of a Nation” — have been more in denial of their own badness. If nothing else, this accidentally hilarious, goofy train wreck of an origin story most definitely has the courage of its convictions. Alas, the film isn’t smart enough to recognize that its convictions are dumb, and it doesn’t have the goods to back them up in the first place.

Brace yourselves for an “edgy,” modern (but not modernized) retelling of a really old myth that opens with a voiceover instructing viewers to “Forget history, forget what you believe, forget what you know,” before launching into a wannabe blockbuster so derivative that other directors should receive its residuals. Gird your loins

‘Bourne’ Spinoff Series Casts Alums of ‘Sense8,’ ‘Mamma Mia 2’ as Leads

  • The Wrap
USA has cast the two leads of its upcoming “Bourne” spinoff series “Treadstone,” the network said Thursday.

Jeremy Irvine, who recently played a young Pierce Brosnan in “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again,” will play J. Randolph Bentley in the series, a spy dispatched by the CIA to eliminate a key target, but ends up embroiled in an international conspiracy. “Sense8” alum Brian J. Smith will play Doug McKenna, an all-American oil-rig worker whose life changes after he discovers long buried truths about himself. Both are series regulars.

Treadstone,” a TV spinoff of Universal’s “Bourne” film franchise that starred Matt Damon, will explore the origin story and present-day actions of a CIA black ops program known as Treadstone — a covert operation that uses behavior modification protocol to turn its agents into nearly unstoppable superhuman assassins.

TV Review: ‘Tell Me a Story’ on CBS All Access

TV Review: ‘Tell Me a Story’ on CBS All Access
In theory and logline, “Tell Me a Story” is about the intertwining lives of New Yorkers that resemble some of the most famous fairy tales of yore. The new girl in town is an unwitting Red Riding Hood with a wolf tattooed on her thigh, surrounded by predatory men. A brother and sister, long estranged from and somehow still dependent upon each other, find themselves running from forces bigger than them in a twist on Hansel and Gretel. Three men in pig masks attempt a robbery that goes horribly wrong, ending in accidental death and a vengeful man hunting them, threatening to huff and puff and blow their lives to the ground. As per the series’ marketing and self-consciously “edgy” tone, “Tell Me a Story” wants to make sure you know that you’ve never seen these fairy tales play out like this before. And yes: all their lives have
