In a Japanese high school, a class of adolescent geeks joins the new synchronized swimming teacher and takes up the challenge to take part in the competition, in spite of the mockeries of the "real sportsmen".
Natsumi Yukihira, an unconventional cop, investigates a series of murders where each new victim is the lead suspect from the previous murder. When her ex-husband becomes the latest murder's suspect, things get more complicated.
This film is cute. The acting seems a bit amateurish but this minor flaw does not interfere with the audience's enjoyment of the film. Some of the scenes seem a bit implausible but not in a way that seems particularly irritating. People who enjoyed classic feel good comedies like 'Back to the Future' will probably enjoy this film as long as they don't mind reading subtitles. By the way, this film is (of course) more enjoyable to people with some knowledge of Japanese but since the comedy is NOT based on linguistic puns, it actually translates surprisingly well. After watching this film, you may be surprised at how similar Japanese humor is to the American variety.
