Storyline

On a sunny morning with breakfast cooking, an old woman sits weeping as she listens to the radio and reads the paper. The sheriff has announced he's given up the search for her husband, who's now assumed to be dead. The radio announcer intones his deep sympathy for dear, sweet Emma. She rises and approaches her window sill, where a bird chirps cheerfully. What of dear, sweet Emma? Written by <jhailey@hotmail.com>
