Trivia

While the title of this show may seem offensive to English speakers, it's actually completely innocent. It's wordplay on "homo sapiens", the "homo" part being Latin for "man" and not short for homosexual, and "zapping" as in channel surfing (the show is a spoof of bits and pieces of Spanish TV) and not as in shooting to kill. The producers of the show were either unaware of the possible implications of the title in English, or didn't mind because it was a show designed only for internal consumption within Spain.
