Sex & Nudity

  • Full frontal female nudity
  • There are references to sex throughout this show. Surprisingly enough very little sexual content is actually shown. Basically all of the sexual content in this show just comes from the guys conversations at times.
  • Topless women are shown briefly a couple times. Typically at huge parties where they'll be in the pool or just in the background. Non graphic. Usually if you aren't looking for them you won't see them.
  • Lloyd is a homosexual, and Ari frequently berates him and insults him in an aggressive, but humorous way. To some this can be considered offensive, but it's played for laughs.

Violence & Gore

  • Characters will occasionally get into scuffles with lots of punching and shoving, but these are infrequent and are mostly mild in impact, apart from one briefly intense fistfight at the end of season 7 that leaves Vince visibly battered.
  • A character commits suicide off-screen. No blood or anything graphic, but we hear the gunshot.
  • Some staged violence is shown, within the context of Vince's films.
  • Occasional threatening situations, or non-graphic references to violence.

  • The f word is used a couple times per episode
  • Frequent use of other moderate language, such as "dick", "shit", "bitch", "ass", "asshole", "tits", and "goddamn". Religious language is used also such as "god" and "Jesus Christ"
  • There is discriminatory language used like "faggot" that some people may find offensive.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Use of alcohol and marijuana is VERY frequent throughout. Characters also smoke cigarettes and cigars.
  • One episode involves eating mushrooms and tripping, in order to find an answer to a difficult life decision Vince must make.
  • In season 7, Vince develops a Vicodin and cocaine addiction, and both of these are shown and discussed.
