Storyline

The sensationalist reporter Michelle Fox presents the TV show Weird World, with phony matters about UFOS and aliens. When she hears about Cat, a young woman that claims that have been abducted with her boyfriend and become pregnant by aliens, she convinces her chief to travel with a team to the remote Welsh island of Scalled to interview Cat. She invites the cameraman Ricky Anderson with his sound technician partner; the nerd expert in "ufology" and "ley lines" Gavin Gorman; the actress Candy Vixen and an obscure gay actor to prepare the matter. They get a van and wait for the low tide to reach the island, and when they find evidences that aliens are really landed in the location, the ambitious Michelle decides to film her way to fame and wealth. Excellent film !
17 February 2006 | by jay_graham2001See all my reviews

I gave this film a high rating because not only did I win some free stuff at the viewing, I laughed my head off all the way through. This film is excellent ! It had everything I wanted to see in the sci-fi / horror / comedy genres. It was well written, well Directed, the Cast performed their jobs well. I was aware of a couple of the cast members, Emily Booth ( A.K.A "Bouff" from a British television video game review show) and Her Boss at the beginning, played the the part of Holly the computer in the great British TV show Red Dwarf.

The film is largely a homage, if you will, to many classic sci-fi and horror films. Making reference to such films as Dead Alive(Braindead, Bad Taste, Alien, Predator, American Werewolf in London, I also got a feeling of Revenge Of Billy the Kid in there too. Probably the farmers hating the mainlanders.

The special make up FX were excellent. I liked the production design, I liked the copious splatters of gore. It did the job for me ! I'll be buying this DVD for my collection as soon as it's released.
