  • Emily mutilates a doll shared by another girl. The doll has red crayon on its face, cracked skin and one eye missing.

  • a woman falls out of a high window (we don't see the impact); we later see her dead body in a bathtub with blood and cuts on the face, and a message written in blood is also seen on the shower curtain.

  • A woman is seen taking pills and drinks wine to help gulp them down.
  • In a flashback, people at a party are seen drinking wine.
  • A man and a woman drink wine at a dinner table.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Emily is implied to be mentally disturbed.
  • We hear that the married couple next-door had a daughter who died of leukemia. The mother breaks down crying when it's discovered that she has a shrine of old stuffed animals and family photos for her daughter in the living room; the daughter's bald head from chemotherapy is also seen.
  • A policeman who Emily liked is attacked and killed in front of her as he tries to help her. Later on, a female psychologist who Emily has befriended is also attacked, but survives. Emily is disturbed by the whole thing.
  • The whole movie is quite intense and psychological throughout.
  • This movie is a suspenseful thriller, and there are many frightening moments that could make someone jump.
  • There are lots of very intense scenes and jump scares.

Sex & Nudity

  • A woman is found nude and submerged up to her neck in a bath tub filled with bloody water, her breasts are barely visible beneath the water and are neither emphasized or sexualized (there's a child present in the room when she's found)
  • A man and woman grope each other, and it is heavily implied they had sex in a stairwell at a new years party. Another man, the husband of the woman, watches from above in anger; it is implied that the woman (Emily's mother) was having an affair.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A cat is seen dead in a bathtub, having been deliberately killed. This may be distressing for some viewers, particularly animal lovers.
