Robert Reisenberg, executive vp of Interpublic's Magna Global Entertainment unit, has been hired to head up an as-yet-unnamed entertainment-based business division as president and CEO for competitor Omnicom Group. At Interpublic, Reisenberg oversaw such high-profile "branded entertainment" forays as NBC's The Restaurant and TBS' House Rules. He will report to Daryl Simm, CEO of Omnicom Media Group, the media services division of the advertising holding giant. Reisenberg is expected to work closely with other branded-entertainment experts at Omnicom including Guy McCarter of OMD Entertainment and Tera Hanks, president of Los Angeles-based Davie-Brown Entertainment. He also is expected to develop his own ideas as well as hear pitches from in-house and from Hollywood.
