Lindsay Lohan's Mom Reportedly Lost Her Home to Foreclosure

Say goodbye to Lindsay Lohan's childhood, because it's officially gone — literally. The New York home that LiLo grew up in has been sold after Lindsay's mom, Dina Lohan, lost the property for failing to pay the mortgage. According to The Blast, Dina did not respond to the foreclosure lawsuit, so a judge — who was overseeing the case — ordered the home to be sold off in a public auction. The publication reported that Dina has been trying to salvage the home for years, and while the timeline is unclear, Lindsay allegedly gave her mother $40,000 in hopes to save the house. Unfortunately, her daughter's contribution wasn't enough. A post shared by Dina Lohan (@dinalohan) on Mar 20, 2018 at 6:40am Pdt In 2013, JPMorgan Chase sued Dina for foreclosure, however, both sides worked out an agreement that put the legal dispute on hold. But as of Dec. 12, 2017, Dina still owed more than $1 million dollars on the home,

‘Disobedience’ Review: Rachel McAdams Thrillingly Rages Against the Patriarchal Machine [Tribeca]
It’s easy to remember Rachel McAdams’ most iconic performance, Regina George in Mean Girls, as little more than the ruthlessly hilarious one-liners and cutting Gif-worthy glances on the surface. But there’s so much more bubbling underneath in her performance that makes it iconic. McAdams is a master of presenting a confident, assured front while meaning […]

A New York judge has ordered that the 55-year-old’s Long Island, New York, house, where her daughter, Lindsay Lohan, grew up, should be sold at a public auction within 90 days, according to documents obtained by The Blast.

‘Westworld’ Star Thandie Newton Says She Will Also Receive Equal Pay for Season 3

‘Westworld’ Star Thandie Newton Says She Will Also Receive Equal Pay for Season 3
Westworld” star Thandie Newton says she will be receiving the same pay as her male costars for the show’s upcoming third season, shattering “calcified pain, resentment, frustration.”

Contract negotiations are currently underway with the HBO series, Newton told Vanity Fair, saying, “We’re all equal across the board. It’s really exciting. It’s unprecedented. It’s–goodness; it shatters so much calcified pain, resentment, frustration. It just shatters it.”

Because of the progress being made, Newton vowed to never take on another project that would pay her less than her male counterparts.

“I wouldn’t do anything if it didn’t. Definitely not,” she said. “F— that. It literally sets a precedent, and [HBO is] leading the way, which is amazing.”

Newton’s revelation comes almost a week after costar Evan Rachel Wood told TheWrap that her paycheck didn’t match her status for the series’ first two seasons. At least, it wasn’t equal to what the leading men were raking in.

“I think I’m just now to the point where I’m getting paid the same as my male co-stars,” Wood said in a recent interview with Sharon Waxman, TheWrap’s founder and CEO.

With the sophomore installment about to premiere, Wood found out she was getting a bump for Season 3 equal to the likes of Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris — the men of Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy’s drama (well, the latter still is, as of that messy freshman year finale).

See Video: Why 'Westworld' Star Evan Rachel Wood Turned Down 'Mean Girls'

“I was just told that, you know, ‘Hey you’re, you’re getting equal pay.’ And I was like [gasp]. And I almost got emotional,” Wood said. “I was like, ‘I have never been paid the same as my male counterparts … Never, never.'”

Earlier this month, HBO boss Casey Bloys addressed the topic of pay parity at the premium cabler following comments made by an exec who said the bump in salaries the cast of “Big Little Lies” received for Season 2 “short of raped” the network.

“One of the things that’s come out of thinking about the movement and some conversations with Reese [Witherspoon], who’s really at the forefront, is something we’ve done recently,” Bloys told The Hollywood Reporter. “We’ve proactively gone through all of our shows — in fact, we just finished our process where we went through and made sure that there were no inappropriate disparities in pay; and where there were, if we found any, we corrected it going forward. And that’s is a direct result of the Times Up movement.”

A spokesperson for HBO has not yet responded to TheWrap’s request for comment.

Westworld” Season 2 will premiere Sunday at 9/8 c on HBO.

Watch ‘Westworld’ Panel at Tribeca Film Festival Awkwardly End Right After Cringeworthy Fan Question (Video)

Watch ‘Westworld’ Panel at Tribeca Film Festival Awkwardly End Right After Cringeworthy Fan Question (Video)
The “Westworld” panel at the Tribeca Film Festival took itself offline Thursday after its very first question from the audience.

The hit HBO sci-fi series’ slot at Tribeca’s 2018 gathering saw co-creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, and cast members Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright and James Marsden, discuss the upcoming Season 2 with a moderator.

It was followed by a Q&A session that included exactly one question, which ended up being a fan’s request for Nolan — who co-wrote “The Prestige,” “The Dark Knight,” “The Dark Knight Rises,” and “Interstellar” with his brother, Christopher Nolan — to read his screenplay.

Yeah.

“We love the show and how it’s able to keep the audience captivated by, in a way, the human potential, but in the same regard, it’s pretty amazing to see how you are able to have a certain idea and to be able to put it on screen for us to be able to see where your mind is. And it’s an unbelievable thing for us to see it and understand it,” the audience member said. “We love the show. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the season has in store for us. And just a side thing for Jonathan — first of all, the cast, every single one of you is amazing. But for Jonathan, especially, my brother and I right here, we’re huge fans of ‘Interstellar.’ If anybody else is as well? I think a lot of us are. You wrote that, and we’re actually aspiring screenwriters as well and that inspired us a lot. And you’ve touched something within us and we hope that one day we can actually show our screenplay to you.”

Nolan thanked him before the fan could continue, and then the moderator said it was getting late and shut that thing down.

While it’s obvious that the majority of the room was not thrilled that was the only query the group answered before things wrapped up —- as they audibly groaned in unison in the video — the festival said the panel didn’t end because of the nature of the question.

“The moderator portion of the panel ran long and we had time for one question during the Q&A and that was the question,” Tribeca’s Executive Vice President of of Communications & Programming Tammie Rosen told TheWrap Friday.

Why ‘Westworld’ Star Evan Rachel Wood Turned Down ‘Mean Girls’ (Video)
While you watch “Westworld” on Sunday, think about how good Evan Rachel Wood would have been in “Mean Girls.”

Yeah, that almost happened. The actress behind the HBO series’ lead robot host Dolores Abernathy not only auditioned for the 2004 Tina Fey feature comedy, she “turned it down.”

“There’s a good reason,” Wood assured Jimmy Fallon on Thursday’s “Tonight Show.” “I was already supposed to do a film called ‘Pretty Persuasion’ that was set in a high school that was very ‘Heathers’-esque. And it was very similar. I was already kind of doing that, so I was like, ‘I can’t [do ‘Mean Girls’].”

We guess that checks out. Wood did not reveal which role she was offered, but the talented singer sure hopes to get a second crack at a Fey movie. Maybe Fallon, Fey’s friend and former “Weekend Update” partner, can help.

“As long as the next movie you’re doing is not about a robot uprising, I will happily [do it],” Wood simultaneously told the “30 Rock” creator and Fallon’s 30 Rock studio audience last night.

Um, we’ve got some bad news for you, Evan. Somewhere, Lindsay Lohan is brushing up on her A.I.

‘SNL’ Cast Saves a Diner Lobster’s Life With ‘Les Miserables’ Songs (Video)

‘SNL’ Cast Saves a Diner Lobster’s Life With ‘Les Miserables’ Songs (Video)
Never order the lobster at a diner, according to “SNL.”

Cast member Pete Davidson made that mistake in a sketch in the show’s April 14 episode, hosted by former “SNL” writer and stand-up comic John Mulaney. When Davidson and Chris Redd head to a diner for lunch, Redd orders a grilled cheese sandwich, while Davidson asks for the lobster special — much to everyone’s shock.

“Did you just order lobster in a diner?” Redd asked, incredulous.

“Yeah, why?” Davidson replied.

“Because it’s a diner,” Redd returned. “The whole seafood section is on the menu as a joke. I mean the word seafood is in quotes!”

“I don’t see what the big deal is,” Davidson said. “It’s on the menu. I’ll have the lobster.”

“As you wish,” said Mulaney, as the diner’s waiter. “All right everyone, the time has come,” he called to the rest of the restaurant. “We’ve got an order here for one lobster.”

A moment later, a giant lobster tank rolled out, with Kenan Thompson inside costumed as a gigantic lobster. He sang of his impending death, a riff on the “Les Miserables” song “Who Am I,” with the lobster standing in for Jean Valjean.

When the song ended, Redd and everyone in the restaurant again begged Davidson to reconsider his order.

“I mean, you can’t eat him now, man. They just sang ‘Les Mis!'” Redd said.

“I’m sorry, dude, I’m more of a ‘Mean Girls’ guy — on Broadway now,” Davidson replied with a wink at the audience.

Kate McKinnon joined the sketch as the lobster’s daughter, Cosette, volunteering to take his place for execution with another song. But it wasn’t enough, so the entire restaurant staff hit the stage, rolling out a barricade set to sing a lobster-ified version of “Do You Hear the People Sing?” in protest of Davidson’s order. Sing-along lyrics popped up at the bottom of the screen, complete with a bouncing lobster to help viewers follow along.

The song finally got the lobster’s plight through to Davidson. In the broadcast version of the sketch, Davidson relented and ordered a tuna melt, but in the version of the sketch “SNL” uploaded to its YouTube channel, there was one last dark added.

“All right, forget the lobster,” he said to cheers from the rest of the cast. “I’ll have the veal instead.”

“All right, everybody, let’s go kill that baby cow!” Mulaney declared as the sketch ended.
