Milestone of Korean cinema, and that despite the due limits, the film shows fine workmanship
23 March 2016 | by dreistSee all my reviews

I saw that too! What to say? I liked very much, the director has been able to represent the human side of the North Koreans, and the actors were really proved in part, of all people especially the captain Agari ruthless and brutal to the end. The film quality is defended quite well, of course, for the era in which it was made, you notice the due limits, such as the struggles with bare hands through his partisans are made as best or you will never see the fire from weapons, but they only hear the sound .... but you can easily turn a blind eye and enjoy this milestone in Korean cinema And a movie for many but not for everyone, is because it is not the usual war movie, the context must be of interest to the viewer. Personally I consider it an art-house films, so it can be heavy viewers unfamiliar. In my case it was not so, the nearly two hours of the film have been well spent and satisfying, among others are also able to recover and see the excellent documentary about Piagol and duration of forty-five minutes, and that I consider very instructive. I'd like to see other movies about this genre, the theme interests me very much and I would look into.
