| Trivia | Huell Howser approached Wells Fargo Bank to sponsor "California's Gold" when he first came up with the concept for the show. Wells Fargo agreed to sponsor the program with the stipulation that all thirteen PBS stations in California at the time would have to agree to broadcast it. Howser personally approached the thirteen stations and they all agreed to air the new show. See more » |
