Upset by stinging remarks at a comedy roast Krusty the clown turns for comfort to his father who promptly dies on him but there is little sympathy for him in the cut and thrust world of show biz and, after a dream in which he meets his father in Jewish heaven, he decides to retire and open an animal sanctuary. Fortunately the ever loyal Bart has a way of showing him that his father respected him and loved his jokes whilst Lisa's over-concern for Homer's safety pays off. Written by don @ minifie-1
Clown in the Dumps is a great Simpsons episode with a well written storyline and loads of very funny scenes. It certainly wasn't the exciting and noteworthy episode fans were expecting it to be,as we were waiting for the death of a major Simpsons character, but it isn't anyone who is too important or has even appeared on the show that much, but it did make for a good storyline.I liked seeing another Krusty episode,he is without a doubt one of my favourite Simpsons characters and I felt like it had been a while since we had an episode revolving around him.My favourite part of the episode was its parody of the Comedy Central Roasts, particularly Jeff Ross's cameo. Its not a particularly noteworthy episode that people myth have been expecting, but Clown in the Dumps is still an enjoyable episode and a great opening for the 26th season.
Krusty's confidence enters a new low as he considers retirement, meanwhile,a resident of Springfield has passed.
