‘The Royals’ Canceled After 4-Season Run at E!
The Royals” has been dethroned. E! has canceled the one-hour Elizabeth Hurley-led drama after four seasons.

“E! will not be moving forward with another season of ‘The Royals,’ which launched in 2015 as the network’s first original scripted series,” a spokesperson for the network said in a statement to TheWrap. “Over four seasons, ‘The Royals’ took viewers behind the palace gates on a scandalous journey filled with twists and turns. We are grateful to the cast and our producing partners at Lionsgate and Universal Cable Productions.”

The fourth — and now final — season aired between March and May, earlier this year.

Season 4 of the series aired between March and May earlier this year. In Live+Same Day viewing, the season averaged a 0.2 rating in adults 18-49 and around 400,000 viewers per episode, down approximately 30% in the key demo from Season 3. Sources say that the show could continue at the cable network Pop, which is a joint venture between CBS Entertainment and Lionsgate Entertainment.

Shooter: Canceled After 3 Seasons!

Considered by USA Network to have fired too many blanks of late, Shooter has been canceled.

The drama will be permitted to wrap up its ongoing third season, but will not return for a fourth, according to Variety.

Five episodes remain on Season 3.

For this, the Ryan Phillippe-led series is averaging 740,000 total viewers and just under a 0.2 demographic rating among 18-49-year olds, a sharp drop from last year's figures of 1.25 million and 0.35, respectively.

As is so often the case these days when a show gets the axe, fans are likely wondering whether Season 4 could be picked up by Hulu or some other streaming service.

And Variety does report that Universal Cable Productions and Paramount Television, which co-produce the series, are looking into this exact possibility.

But the odds are very low.

Shooter is based on a number of novels by author Stephen Hunter.

It featured Phillippe in the

Time’s up for misogyny in TV writers’ rooms

A new survey shows that these spaces are hotbeds of sexual harassment. Do women always have to be collateral damage for male creativity?

TV writers’ rooms, so we have long been told (mostly by male writers), are hotbeds of creativity. Places where intense geniuses bat one-liners back and forth like tennis champions and everyone talks like Don Draper landing an account with Chevy. Normal workplace rules don’t apply in this weirdly mythologised space. Everything must be at the service of the story. So if that involves a male writer forcing a female writer’s head between her knees, then balancing a soda can on it while making a joke about her ability to perform oral sex, then so be it. An award-winning show might be the end result.

Attention, One Tree Hill Fans: Chad Michael Murray Is Starring in a Hallmark Christmas Movie

Attention, One Tree Hill Fans: Chad Michael Murray Is Starring in a Hallmark Christmas Movie
Chad Michael Murray is starring in a new Hallmark movie this holiday season, and we can already feel the nostalgia. The One Tree Hill alum will star in The Wise Men alongside Hallmark familiar face Jessy Schram, Entertainment Weekly reports. The movie tells the story of Maggie (Schram), who has to make sure her boss's three sons come home in time for Christmas. You guessed it: Murray, named Danny in the movie, is one of the sons. When a blizzard hits (you guessed it again!), Maggie asks for Danny's help during a cross-country journey, and a romantic connection is born.

This is totally the kind of movie that requires a cozy blanket and a cup of hot chocolate. While other One Tree Hill cast members, including Hilarie Burton and Robert Buckley, will appear in the Lifetime movie A Christmas Contract, it looks like this is a solo project for Murray.

James Lafferty, Stephen Colletti on ‘Ridiculous’ Auditions That Inspired ‘Everyone Is Doing Great’ (Video)

James Lafferty, Stephen Colletti on ‘Ridiculous’ Auditions That Inspired ‘Everyone Is Doing Great’ (Video)
James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti drew from their own life experiences when they set out to create their independent TV series “Everyone Is Doing Great” — and we don’t just mean the good ones.

The “One Tree Hill” alums stopped by TheWrap last week to talk about their fundraising campaign for the new dramedy, which centers around two former co-stars, Jeremy Davis (Lafferty) and Seth Stewart (Colletti), who are best-known for their fictional “The Vampire Diaries”-type show, “Eternal,” but have been having a tough time being taken seriously in showbiz since it ended five years ago.

Because TheWrap got a sneak peek at the first episode ahead of our sit-down, we knew about one awkward scene in the pilot in which Seth has to pretend to, um, “make love” to a pillow for an on-camera audition. Of course we immediately needed to know what led them to that cringe-inducing plot point.

Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger Season 1 Episode 4 Review – ‘Call/Response’

Red Stewart reviews the fourth episode of Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger

Back in the day, we used to jokingly describe Smallville as “Dawson’s Creek with superpowers.” This was because that show, at least in the earlier seasons, followed tropes that various other young adult soap operas at the time like 90210, Summerland, One Tree Hill, and Melrose Palace were utilizing. Watching the fourth episode of Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger, though, I couldn’t help but feel that perhaps we had jumped the gun with that nickname. Yes, it is true that Smallville was reminiscent of other dramas set in high schools, but at the end of the day it never strayed from its superhero roots: there was always a clear-cut antagonist, a super-powered fight, and an ending that made you feel good about yourself.

In the seven years since Smallville ended, we have seen the superhero genre grow exponentially,

TV's Hottest Triangles: One Tree Hill — Team Peyton or Team Brooke?

The residents of Tree Hill, N.C., may have been beautiful, but their relationships had a knack for turning really ugly.

And never was that dichotomy of beautiful people and beastly behavior more evident than the seasons during which Peyton Sawyer (played by Hilarie Burton) and Brooke Davis (played by Sophia Bush) battled emotionally — and physically, on occasion — for the heart of Lucas Scott (played by Chad Michael Murray).

But before we start rehashing which girl should have ended up with the world’s most brooding, dead poet-quoting basketball player, let’s get something straight: This particular love triangle was

‘One Tree Hill’ Alums Navigate Life Of Struggling Actors In Crowd-Funded Comedy ‘Everyone Is Doing Great’
Even though the last episode of One Tree Hill aired in April 2012, the teen drama series — which ran 9 seasons — still resonates with their diehard fans as they are chomping at the bit for some sort of a reunion. One Tree Hill alums James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti are doing exactly that…in their own special way.

The One Tree Hill gang still share a bond as some of their cast members are set to reunite for a Lifetime Christmas movie and Sophia Bush has done well for herself as a voice in Incredibles 2. But for Lafferty, who played Oth’s Nathan from the drama’s start in 2003, and Colletti, who came later in the series as Chase, they have taken their experience in being ’00s TV heartthrobs in a wildly popular series to create a pilot called Everyone is Doing Great.

Although there is absolutely nothing wrong with CW-grade angst,
