The pristine black and white cinematography is just exquisite.
The slice of life story of the Mexico City riffraff is great. The theme of friendship and the betrayal of that friendship is executed with great command of the subject by the director. The black and white cinematography really counter points the morals of the characters and the lines that they cross.
