Willy Wonka: Every Song In The Original And The Reboot, Ranked
Roald Dahl's Charlie And The Chocolate Factory led to two cinematic adaptations. The first, Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory, in 1971 is a cinematic classic that did so much with so little of a budget and has become iconic. Tim Burton would reboot that film in 2004 as a fresh but faithful retelling that has become a cult gem.

Timothée Chalamet Is Edward Scissorhands' Son in Cadillac Super Bowl Commercial

Timothée Chalamet Is Edward Scissorhands' Son in Cadillac Super Bowl Commercial
Winona Ryder reprises her Edward Scissorhands role in Cadillac's new Super Bowl ad with Timothée Chalamet as Edward's son, and the commercial will have you wishing it was a trailer for a real movie. In the original movie from director Tim Burton, Ryder played Kim Boggs, a teenage girl who falls in love with a created man with scissor-fingers appropriately named Edward Scissorhands (Johnny Depp). The Super Bowl ad reveals that Kim bore a son to Edward named Edgar, who seems to face a lot of the same struggles as his father.

"This is the story of a boy with scissors for hands. No, not that one," Ryder says in the commercial, portraying an older Kim Boggs.

Timothée Chalamet is a real dead ringer for Edward Scissorhands, and it's not difficult at all to imagine him as Edward's son, Edgar. Getting up in the morning, riding the bus, going to school,

Plot details for ‘Wonka’ have been kept heavily under wraps, though the upcoming adaptation will centre on Willy Wonka’s earlier days prior to operating his elaborate house of confectionary creations.

Based on Roald Dahl’s popular children’s book ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,’ the story follows a poor boy named Charlie, who is one of five youngsters to win a golden ticket to tour the world-renowned, yet highly secretive, chocolate factory run by Willy Wonka. Gene Wilder played the character in 1971’s ‘Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.’ Johnny Depp later portrayed the famed chocolatier in the Tim Burton-directed 2005 reboot.

Tim Burton’s version vaguely touched on his past focusing on Wonka’s father who was a dentist who loathed sugary treats of any kind. It’s also

Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp Fans Are Trashing the Wonka Prequel
The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory prequel Wonka is getting released in 2023 with Tom Holland or Timothee Chalamet rumored to star, and the news isn't sitting very well at all with many fans of the original movie. His performance is considered iconic, and for a lot of people, nobody else could ever convincingly play the character after Wilder previously set the bar so high.

"Any willy wonka who isn't gene wilder doesn't exist to me," one tweet reads.

‘Wonka’: ‘Paddington’ Director’s Prequel Film Lands Official 2023 Release Date
Tim Burton wasn’t able to fully succeed with his ‘Wonka’ remake with “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” back in 2005, as many people feel that feature doesn’t come close to replicating the magic of the 1971 feature, “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.” So, Warner Bros. has decided to not even try to remake that film again. Instead, the studio is moving forward with a prequel film, simply titled “Wonka,” that now has an official 2023 release date.
