The Mullets

It's all about being "business in the front, party in the back" when it comes to the Mullet brothers, two siblings who sport the same haircut, but are actually very different from one another.

Storyline

The Mullets are blue-collar, wrestling-loving, light-hearted, optimistic brothers who don the hairstyle that bears their surname ("business in the front, party in the back"). The 20-something brothers, who sport identical mullet haircuts, are actually a study in contrast. Dwayne Mullet has a loud, in-your-face demeanor, while Denny Mullet is a quieter, more thoughtful, easygoing guy. Their mother Mandi Mullet-Heidecker, a warm maternal type who couldn't be more proud of her offspring, no matter what they do, recently married Roger Heidecker, a clean-cut game show host who is the polar opposite of her boys and her former life. The siblings live life to the fullest while dreaming of bigger and better futures, though their fantasies are out of step with their reality. Written by Bubba

Quotes

Denny: Those '84 Camaros could fly!
Dwayne: It's an '85.
Denny: No, it's an '84.
Dwayne: Check out the hood scoops, and the rear window molding, so it's an '85.
Denny: There's no fog lights on the front bumper, so it's an '84.
[The Camaro comes crashing into the front door]
Denny: Told you it was an '84.

UPN onto something?... I'll be d*mned
16 September 2003 | by Saint_NothingSee all my reviews

You know... This isn't to bad from a network thats main point of revenue is WWE programming such as Smackdown! and 15 other shows recapping Smackdown. Actually, this isn't bad from any point of view. Mindless entertainment you say? Well yes and no. Sure you have to suspend a bit of belief in believing the familys last name is also reflecting the two sons hair styles made popular in the 1980's Heavy Metal scene. But if a show can entertain me in it's first three episodes, then I am definately hooked. And in a day covered with reality tv, it is safe to say there isn't a lot for people like me to watch.

Having just watching the pilot episode and the second, I am thoroughly enjoyed and have something to cover that less than spectacular Tuesday night slot, and with my 3rd episode make and break coming up I am sure this show will make. But I can see right now that this will only last 3 seasons at most... because, well, it seems ever since The Job, every show I've liked since barely makes it past the first season.
