The literal translation of the title of this movie is: the happy lives.
Actually, classification of this movie into the category of docudrama is more appropriate, though this movie is more close to documentary than to drama. It is about the lives of the ordinary Chinese citizens, such as those of working class or lower class. These people are not like those who have not really enjoyed the recent rapid economic expansion in China, and they are the true representations of China because they are the majority. This movie is a really good eye openers for China observers who were often blinded by the statistics such as the GDP and foreign trade increase.
