  • Robin Williams stars as a man whose job is to remove memory implants from the heads of deceased people and edit their memories into footage that are shown at their funerals. But, his life is soon in danger as a dark tragic secret from his childhood returns to haunt him and he gets targeted by a disillusioned former co-worker turned activist (Jim Caviezel) when he discovers that a deceased wealthy businessman sexually abused his daughter and that his former co-worker's discovery of the dead wealthy businessman's abuse of his daughter is the key in ridding society of all memory implants.   • At one point in the film, you hear someone explain that parents should tell their children about having an implant when the children are old enough to understand and process that info properly -- which should be by the time they are 21 years old. Later, Alan tells a little girl (who is around 12 years old) that his parents both died when he was just a bit older than her. So it seems like his parents died before they figured Alan was old enough to be told. And Alan believes that his parents didn't give him a Zoe implant because they couldn't afford it. Edit
