'Bottoms Up' is the ninth entry in Playboy's 'Wet & Wild' series and in many ways the finale. Another sequel followed in 2002, but it wasn't on the same level. I thought this entry might pay special attention and focus on the female behind based on it's title, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
After a unique intro consisting solely of close-up shots of nude female body parts (not sure who we're looking at) we get a segment called "Frisky Business" involving sisters (Kim & Stacy Sanches). They play window cleaners who make an overworked office worker's day brighter. Solid scene. Pretty ladies.
This is followed up by "Cream & Sugar". A really short scene where two Playmates (Echo Johnson, Angel Boris) get milk poured over their nude bodies. It's only two mins long so there's not much I can say. A self explanatory scene called "Gone Fishin" features Rachel Jean Marteen & Tylyn John. Where the highlight for me was Rachel's butt.
"Splashin' Fashion" gives us a foursome (Jennifer Lavoie, Maria Checa, Stacy Sanches, Kim Sanches) as they pose solo, in pairs or all together. I've seen Maria in a few Playboy videos, but she looked the best here. Another quickie scene "Wet Zeppelin" (Echo Johnson, Angel Boris, Jessica Lee) featuring bikinis and water balloons. "Menage Mirage" is a ffm lost at sea fantasy (Jennifer Lavoie, Maria Checa) that's at it's best when the male actor disappears.
"Huddles and Puddles" is three mins of washing a car and an outdoor tackle football game (Anna Marie Goddard, Victoria Fuller, Tylyn John). It's too short and doesn't feature enough nudity. Nice to see Playmate Anna Marie for once though.
"Golden Assets" is all about golden bikinis & skirts (Stacy Sanches, Kim Sanches, Necole Velasquez). "Bubble Beauties" is all about bubbles and squirt guns (Danelle Folta, Angel Boris, Echo Johnson). Wasn't fond of these two segments.
"That's Amore" is the finale. A seven minute boy/girl fantasy (Jessica Lee). It's too artsy and takes way too long to get to the good stuff. Jessica is a cutie and it gets better once the dude disappears, but we go out on a low note.
The 'Wet & Wild' series had a lot of peaks and valleys. I thru V came in a five year span between 1989 to 1993. I find them incredibly dated and tame. Things got better. 'Locker Room' was great. 'Hot Holidays' was a step down but had it's moments. Then 'Slippery When Wet' was pretty good and we dipped in quality again with 'Bottoms Up'. At least that's the way I see it.
