Glenn Danzig Explains How He Ended Up Writing Songs for 1987's Less Than Zero [Exclusive]

Glenn Danzig Explains How He Ended Up Writing Songs for 1987's Less Than Zero [Exclusive]
Glenn Danzig is best known as the singer and bandleader for the seminal horror punks The Misfits, his eponymously monikered hard rock band, Danzig, and his hit song "Mother." But a deeper look into his discography reveals a connection to Hollywood, one that pre-dates the '90s rumor that he was offered the role of Wolverine in X-Men; his music's inclusion in an episode of The X-Files and The Hangover movies; and his eventual debut as a writer/director with last year's gory anthology, Verotika. Released in 1987, the song "You and Me (Less Than Zero)" on the Less Than Zero soundtrack is credited to "Glenn Danzig and the Power and Fury Orchestra." And alongside tracks by LL Cool J, The Bangles, and Slayer, lurked another Danzig contribution, as well: "Life Fades Away," co-written with late '50s icon Roy Orbison, who performed vocals and guitar.

The Twilight Zone Season 2 Episode 6 Review: 8
This Twilight Zone review contains spoilers.

The Twilight Zone Season 2 Episode 6

Science fiction that happens underwater almost always become horrifically scary, really fast. Off the top of my head, the only sci-fi premises that aren’t automatically horrifying are the ‘90s show seaQuest, or my three-year-old daughter’s favorite TV Show, Octonauts. Everything else that happens underwater has the potential to be packed with the stuff of nightmares. James Cameron’s The Abyss isn’t called The Lovely Abyss. Great underwater fiction comes with scary sea monsters, at least nine times out of ten.

The sixth episode of season 2 of the new Jordan Peele Twilight Zone is what would happen if the sea monster story was merged with the original Ridley Scott-directed Alien. In other words, you’re terrified, but also kind of rooting for the monster on some level. What makes this episode so interesting, is you think

Wes Anderson’s ‘French Dispatch’ Budget Rivals ‘Grand Budapest,’ Film Will Not Be Four Hours Long

Wes Anderson’s ‘French Dispatch’ Budget Rivals ‘Grand Budapest,’ Film Will Not Be Four Hours Long
A new Wes Anderson movie is arriving in theaters later this year titled “The French Dispatch,” but it will not be a four-hour epic as advertised this week on IMDb, which listed the film’s runtime at four hours and one minute. IMDb also stated the movie was made up of two parts, with part one being 1 hour and 57 minutes and part two being 2 hours and 4 minutes. Fox Searchlight says the IMDb information is incorrect and “The French Dispatch” will have a theatrical runtime closer to Anderson’s other live-action films (think just under two hours).

As for the budget, Variety reports “The French Dispatch” cost $25 million, which puts it at the same cost of Anderson’s “Grand Budapest Hotel.” The $25 million budget makes it one of Anderson’s priciest live-action films, although it’s nowhere near the $50 million spent on “The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou.” Variety also reports
